[h=1]The rumored Sony E-Ink Smartwatch was hiding in plain sight all along[/h] November 29, 2014 Kishore Ganesh
A few days ago, we reported on a rumor of an innovative new Sony Smartwatch, which made the entire body of the Smartwatch into an E-Ink Screen.
Guess what? It officially exists on Makuake, a crowdfunding site, under the name the FES Watch. It seems that Sony wanted to release a Smartwatch which carried none of the carriage that comes along with the Sony name.
As the WSJ reports, Fashion Entertainment, which is the startup that is making the Smartwatch, is actually a Sony sub-division.
The FES Watch will have an ePaper screen across the entire front of the Smartwatch, including the wristbands. Not only Smartwatches, but it seems Fashion Entertainment is also experimenting with making other stuff such as shoes and bow ties using ePaper.
