A study of Brahmins worked for 2 months. It prepared a brief note on the status of Brahmins in all States. The Brahmins should know their position and power in the country:
Brahmin population state-wise:
1. J&K 2 lakhs and 4 have left the state.
2. Punjab 9 lakhs
3. Haryana 14 lakhs
4. Rajasthan 78 lakhs
5. Gujarat 60 lakhs
6. Maharashtra 45 lakhs

Maximum Brahmin populated state is UP and minimum is Sikkim.
Maximum govt employed Brahmins are in WB
Maximum percentage of Brahmins is in Uttarkhand at 20%
Maximum literate Brahmins are in Kerala and HP. Maximum number of well positioned Brahmins is in Assam. Rajasthan has had maximum number of CMs from Brahmins. Maximum number of educated Brahmins are in UP. Lok Sabha has 48% Brahmins and Rajya Sabha 36%. 50% per cent of Brahmins are governors. Brahmins in ministries secretariat 54%; additional secretaries 62%; personal secretaries 70%.
University VCs 51%. Supreme court judges 56%; high court judges 40%.
Indian Ambassadors 41%.
Brahmins in public sector 57% and state government sectors 82%. Bank employees 57%. Airlines 61%, IAS Officers 72% and IPS 61%. TVs artists and Bollywood 83%. CBI/Customs 72%.
Whatsup group is managed by 59%. FB is managed by 50% Brahmins.
80% of world’s top 500 Companies are managed by Brahmins.

The above data is a undiluted lie ...It looks to be the work of some major anti brahmin group trying to foment communal /caste tension in the country..May be 10% are Brahmins...We have Punjabis, Kayasths, Banias, Rajputs, Reddy's Nairs, Kammas, Vokkaligas, Lingayats, Patels etc +OBC's +SC's +ST's...We already had 2 threads which were withdrawn as the data is suspect..Let the Brahmin forum not spread this lie unwittingly

There are 50 Sulabh Shauchalayas (public toilets) in Delhi; all of them are cleaned and looked after by Brahmins (this very welcome public institution was started by a Brahmin). A far cry from the elitist image that Brahmins have!
There are five to six Brahmins manning each Shauchalaya. They came to Delhi eight to ten years back looking for a source of income, as they were a minority in most of their villages, where Dalits are in majority (60 per cent to 65 per cent). In most villages in UP and Bihar, Dalits have a union which helps them secure jobs in villages.
Did you know that you also stumble upon a number of Brahmins working as coolies at Delhi’s railway stations? One of them, Kripa Shankar Sharma, says while his daughter is doing her Bachelors in Science he is not sure if she will secure a job.
