Sir,

It is fun most of the time and also learning a bit.

During my boyhood days, our age group friends spent most of the time in the giant size well located in the adjacent paddy field....... Used to train young ones to learn swimming….. enjoy the thrilling sport of throwing something inside the well, dive and picking up the same..

Then there used to be a group of grannies anxiously waiting for us and for whom we read stories like ‘Thiruvilaiyadal Puranam, Story of Harichandran, Nallathangal, Nalan and Damayanthi etc (Published in big size font).

Later, every Summer I also used to visit the local Government Hospital and assist the Pharmacist voluntarily.

Evening we used to visit library and temple. There is still a ‘Sabai’ where we sing songs from ‘Thirupugazh’ , ‘Thiruarutpa’ , etc

Cherishing memories….
:)

We used to visit our Agraharam during summer Holidays...We used to play pallankuzhi, stones, snake & ladder, Trade, Pandi, Hide & seek, Pandi...There was no limit to excitement during the Holidays

Now outdoor activities have become almost Nil in the sizzling heat..Mobiles, Tablets, Lap tops are the common tools..Playstation games are popular and widely used for fun & enjoyment
