A very scary prediction!W
What are the contributing factors to this rise in the ratio....
The use of pills? the loose living? the use of drugs and drinks?
The use of non stick vessels? the use of dangerous plastics?:noidea:

[h=3]Reports warn of explosion in cancer deaths among women[/h] Two reports have warned of an explosion in cancer deaths among women, with a toll, mainly from breast cancer, of some 5.5 million per year by 2030 -- roughly the population of Denmark. This represented a near 60-percent increase in less than two decades, said an analysis conducted by the American Cancer Society (ACS), released Tuesday at the World Cancer Congress in Paris. As the global population grows and ages, the highest toll will be among women in poor and middle-income countries, it said, and much of it from cancers which are largely preventable.

[h=3]Don't Get Freaked Out By These Massive 'Pillars Of Destruction' In Space[/h] It’s an act of violence on a cosmic scale. New images from the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope in Chile showed the massive “Pillars of Destruction” in the Carina Nebula, some 7,500 light years from Earth: The images revealed a “nursery” of new stars, which were wiping out the very clouds from which they formed. “In an ironic twist, one of the first consequences of the formation of a massive star is that it starts to destroy the cloud from which it was born,” the ESO wrote in a news release. That destruction led to scenes that looked like the cover of a 1960s psychedelic album. Some of the nicknames even sounded like the titles of those albums, such as the Mystic Mountain,

[h=3]A supercomputer just started the race to solve the universe's biggest mystery - dark matter[/h] The race to discover the particles that constitute dark matter has begun after a supercomputer worked out the mass of one of the most promising candidates - axions. Dark matter makes up most of the universe, yet we know virtually nothing about it. At present there are two main theories about what dark matter is made of - either it is composted of a few but very heavy particles, or lots of extremely light ones.

[h=3]Beyond Alzheimer's: 7 Types of Dementia Everyone Needs to Know About[/h] One study went so far as to suggest we’ll see 13.8 million cases of dementia in the U.S. by 2050, which is nearly a three-fold increase. One of the reasons some medical professionals think we could see such a dramatic rise is because the baby boomers, who make up a substantial portion of the population, have begun to reach the age when the risk for dementia really starts to increase. In fact, the Alzheimer’s Association reports this disease accounts for 60% to 80% of all dementia cases.

[h=3]Here's how to see the biggest supermoon since 1948[/h] A "supermoon" occurs when the moon becomes full on the same days as its perigee, which is the point in the moon's orbit when it is closest to Earth. The term is borrowed from the pseudoscience of astrology but has been adopted by popular culture and astronomers. Supermoons generally appear to be 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons. While such moons occur around every 13 months, November's is a special one. According to NASA, this month's supermoon "becomes full within about two hours of perigee-arguably making it an extra-super moon." In America, the November full moon is known as a "Beaver Moon," because it arrives at the time of year when fur trappers would hunt the dam-building

[h=3]NASA reveals why New Delhi is blanketed with deadly smog[/h] The festival Diwali may have contributed to severe air pollution in India’s capital New Delhi, but a far more worrisome practice in the country could be its major cause. SEE ALSO: New Delhi continues to choke with polluted air after Diwali Four days after Diwali, Delhiites continue to grapple with a heavy smog blanket with poor visibility and the air quality index reaching alarming levels across the city. Until now, many were pointing to bursting of crackers (a norm during Diwali) as the main cause of the severe air pollution, but images published by NASA suggest that burning of crops in the neighboring states of Punjab and Haryana could be the biggest reason why the air quality in the world’s

[h=3]This Is How A Species Goes Extinct[/h] Editor’s note: The images below may be upsetting to some readers. When photographer Paul Hilton arrived at a clearing in Sumatra, Indonesia, last year, there was just a backhoe, a couple of law enforcement officials and an open pit about to be set on fire ― the final act of a major wildlife crime bust. The day before, Hilton had been in a warehouse in the city of Medan when police raided the building on a tip that a seafood trading company was trafficking in smuggled creatures hunted for their valuable body parts. He photographed the raid and the lucky critters that made it out alive. Though he found it heartbreaking, “visually, it wasn’t that impactful,” Hilton said. But it was the pit a few

[h=3]Ex-inmate claims he was 'sex slave' to prison counselor[/h] A former state prison inmate who fathered a child with a prison counselor while serving time in a Jackson-area prison is suing the Michigan Department of Corrections and state officials, saying he was forced into sex and officials should have known what was happening. Steven Moerman of Grand Rapids alleges prison counselor Susan Lee Clingerman used him as "a virtual sex slave, demanding sexual gratification at her whim," while he was imprisoned at Parnall Correctional Facility on a drug charge in 2014 and receiving counseling for mental illness. In a lawsuit filed in September in Jackson County Circuit Court, Moerman alleges prison officials knew or should have known what was happening because another prison counselor acted as a lookout for Clingerman.

[h=3]It's a snake eat snake world out there, as this guy's photos clearly show[/h] Snake sightings are always pretty creepy, but they don't get more terrifying than this. Australian man Steve Young was out on his property last Sunday when he happened to spot a 1.6 metre (5.2 foot) poisonous red-bellied black snake eating a brown snake - and well over halfway through its meal. SEE ALSO: You wouldn't want to mess with this seriously ripped kangaroo It didn't faze Young, who snapped a few pictures of the ghoulish encounter and posted them online, for all to enjoy. "I was standing over the top of it taking a photograph and my wife said 'you're crazy'," he told the Bega District News. He said he wasn't worried about getting bitten - the snake had its mouth full. [h=3]Video shows Trump with mob figure he denied knowing[/h] A newly uncovered video appears to contradict Donald Trump’s claim that he never knew a high-stakes gambler who was banned from New Jersey casinos for alleged ties to organized crime. The reputed mob figure, Robert LiButti, can be seen standing alongside Trump in the front row of a 1988 “WrestleMania” match in Atlantic City, N.J. LiButti wasn’t there by accident, according to his daughter, Edith Creamer, who also attended the event. The video appears to lend new support to assertions Trump once had close relations with LiButti, who was banned from the state’s casinos in 1991 because of his ties to Mafia boss John Gotti, then the chief of the Gambino crime syndicate.

In Israel, a revived Lapid emerges as threat to Netanyahu

JERUSALEM - Political newcomer Yair Lapid believes he has finally found a formula that will allow him to do something that has eluded Israeli politicians for nearly a decade: defeat Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an election. Just three years after Lapid gave up a successful media career for the rough-and-tumble of Israeli politics, his centrist Yesh Atid party has been surging in opinion polls - repeatedly coming out ahead of Netanyahu's long-dominant Likud Party. Although elections are not scheduled until 2019, few Israeli governments last for their full terms. In an interview at his office in the Knesset, Lapid attributed his recent success to hard work by his party's lawmakers and the appeal of a moderate party in a country that has been pushed to extremes.

Attorney: Trump rape accuser cancels first public appearance because of death threats

The woman known as "Jane Doe," who claims she was raped at a party by Donald Trump when she was 13, canceled an appearance at a news conference Wednesday because she received death threats, her attorney said. Speaking in front of reporters near Los Angeles, Lisa Bloom said the unidentified woman was set to tell her story for the first time in public, but she "has received numerous threats today, as have all the Trump accusers that I have represented. Jane Doe filed a suit in June alleging that in 1994, Trump raped her at a party in New York City thrown by Jeffrey Epstein, a financier convicted in 2008 of soliciting an underage girl for sex. Doe's original lawsuit was thrown out of a California court in May because it failed to state a specific civil rights violation, BuzzFeed News reports, and it was discovered that the house listed for sending court correspondence was in foreclosure under a different name.

A supercomputer just started the race to solve the universe's biggest mystery - dark matter

The race to discover the particles that constitute dark matter has begun after a supercomputer worked out the mass of one of the most promising candidates - axions. The computer calculations have placed constraints on the weight of axions, providing scientists with a concrete range in which to carry out experiments. Dark matter makes up most of the universe, yet we know virtually nothing about it. Understanding it would vastly increase our knowledge of the cosmos and everything in it. But because it is invisible, it is undetectable. As a result, scientists have to make predictions on what it is made of then conduct experiments to work out if they are right. At present there are two main theories
