[h=3]New York Thanksgiving parade goes off safely under tight security[/h] By Daniel Trotta NEW YORK (Reuters) - Macy's 90th Thanksgiving Day Parade went off without incident in New York on Thursday amid heightened security, police said, after Islamic State militants abroad encouraged their followers to attack the popular holiday event. New York police used sand-filled trucks, radiation detectors, bomb-sniffing dogs and heavily armed officers to defend the 2.5-mile (4-km) parade route in Manhattan. A New York Police Department spokesman said there were no reports of arrests, injuries or disturbances.

They do very certainly exist - whether or nor we recognize them as the third gender!

[h=3]Indian Railways, IRCTC include transgender as third gender in ticket forms[/h] New Delhi: Indian Railways and IRCTC have included "transgender as third gender" in the option alongside male and female in ticket reservation and cancellation forms. The decision which was taken on a representation made by a lawyer will include the facility for reservations and cancellations, both online as well offline. The Delhi-based lawyer had made the representation after the Delhi High Court in February had asked him to approach the Railway Ministry while disposing of his petition. The ministry in its circular referred to the direction of the apex court of April 2014, which had said that hijras, eunuchs, apart from binary gender, be treated as third gender for protecting their rights.

Everything is relative - including the speed of light!

  • Science
[h=3]A new theory about the speed of light seeks to explain what Einstein couldn't[/h] One of the oddest things about our universe is that it has some fundamental constants. These constants-such as the speed of light in a vacuum-have numerical values that don’t change no matter what conditions you test them under. The speed of light in a vacuum had been measured at the same 299,792,458 meters per second by many physicists in the 19th century. But physicists had to wait until Albert Einstein developed his theory of relativity to understand why this was the case. As you probably know from your high-school physics, light can travel both as electromagnetic waves and as particles of photon. Einstein hypothesized that, if something could travel faster than the speed of light, it would

When Time is a stream on continuous flow we can travel in it

in either direction ,... back to the past or back to the future!!!

  • Science
[h=3]Researchers claim time travel is possible[/h] There are multiple timelines playing out in parallel universes, according to a team of researchers. The sensational claim was made by a team of physicists, who believe that the parallel universes can all affect one another. Professor Howard Wiseman and Dr. Michael Hall, from Griffith University’s Center for Quantum Dynamics, claim that the idea of parallel universes is more than just science fiction. Fellow researcher Dr. Dirk-Andre Deckert, from the University of California, helped further the researchers’ theory, which goes against almost all conventional understanding of space and time. If there really are multiple, interacting universes, then it would be possible for time travellers to visit

To their amazement, searchers found the infant inside a storm drain -- more than two dozen feet from the roadway. "The baby ... was sitting up and looking up at us waiting for us to pull her out," Texarkana firefighter Josh Moore said.

[h=3]In Opinion: Ex-NASA chief technologist explains how space exploration may be revolutionized[/h] NASA’s Sonny White and his collaborators have published experimental confirmation that the so-called EM drive produces thrust. If this technology fulfills its promise, it will transform public and private space exploration and may have even broader implications for terrestrial power and energy. Their paper explains why this work is important with typically understated academic language: “For missions with very large delta-v requirements, having a propellant consumption rate of zero could offset the higher power requirements.” Let me say it another way for everyone else: wouldn’t it be great to travel in space as fast as you want without even using fuel? The what-ifs that these questions inspire
