[h=3]Queen Elizabeth II to visit ex-concentration camp in Germany[/h] Queen Elizabeth II will visit a former concentration camp for the first time during her state visit to Germany later this month, Buckingham Palace said Monday. The queen and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, will travel to the Bergen-Belsen camp where diarist Anne Frank and her sister, Margot, died only weeks before the British liberated it on April 15, 1945. The queen will travel to both the German capital, Berlin, and the financial hub, Frankfurt, during the June 23-26 trip.

THE Uttar Pradesh government has come up with a novel idea that would please booze lovers in the state. Customers can soon expect to find their favourite brand of Indian Made Foreign Liquor ( IMFL) in tetra packs across all districts. "A proposal regarding the same was sent earlier this year and we have got the Cabinet?s approval today,"State Excise Officer Phoolchand Paul told M AIL T ODAY .

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has decided to give residents one rupee a visit in a bid to draw them into its 300 public toilets and away from open areas and public walls, which often reek of urine. AMC health officer Bhavikk Joshi said the offer would be trialed at 67 public facilities across Ahmedabad, the main city in western Gujarat state, where officers will give a coin to each user. "Once successful the project will be implemented in all the 300 public toilets in Ahmedabad," Joshi told AFP on Monday.

Areeb Taha Mehdi was arrested on Wednesday after a zoo official lodged a complaint with Bahadurpura police station. Mehdi visited the Nehru Zoological Park on Saturday and went inside the night house of jaguar, which is prohibited for the visitors.
