    United Airlines gives woman $10,000 after taking her off overbooked flight

    A woman has received a $10,000 travel voucher from United Airlines after she was bumped from her flight. United reportedly had an issue with one of the seats on a fully booked plane leaving from Washington and headed to Austin. In a series of tweets, the experience is documented on Ms Preiss’ Twitter feed as she shifts from outrage that United was forcing a traveller off a flight, to still-inconvenienced surprised delight.

One of my grandson said yesterday that grown ups can do anything they want to do and get away with it unpunished.

We convinced him that only an infant can do anything it wants to do and get away with it!

Then we realized that this freedom is really wasted on the infants - since thy do NOT want to do much anyway!

So we settled the issues with this inference.

When one CAN do anything and get away with it, he/ she desires very little to do.

When one desires to do many things and get away with them, he/she does not have the freedom to do so!

Does this remind you of the comb presented to a bald headed man???

Well it did remind me of that tale.

In nutshell....

We don't need it when we have it.

We don't have it when we need it.

Here "it" can be anything from comb to adventures

through the rest of the various things one loves!

    British children being forced into modern slavery in UK as 5,000 potential victims found

    British children are being forced into modern slavery in the UK as more potential victims are reported than ever before. A total of 5,145 potential victims were referred into the system last year, an increase of 35 per cent on the year before, and the National Crime Agency (NCA) believes the number will continue to rise. The NCA said a rising number of British modern slaves are being reported because of police referring teenage victims exploited by criminal gangs.
