Chaos grips Senate hearing on Trump Supreme Court pick Kavanaugh

Chaos engulfed the U.S. Senate confirmation hearing for Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick, as Democrats on Tuesday complained bitterly about Republicans withholding documents about the nominee's past White House service and shouting protesters were arrested in droves. More than seven hours went by during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing before Kavanaugh, the conservative federal appeals court judge Trump selected for a lifetime job on the top U.S. judicial body, got to deliver his opening statement.

The veiled threat hidden in the invisible wall???

Be warned, if Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed to the US Supreme Court, he will only strengthen Trump’s invisible border wall

Nearly two years into his presidency, President Trump has not been able to muster the congressional support and funding to deliver on his key campaign promise to build a physical wall on the United States’ border with Mexico. Although the border wall captured much of the early focus, the Trump administration has been busily bypassing Congress and focusing on the far-reaching changes in policies and procedures through the use of executive powers that have made up the “invisible wall”.
  • While invisible, it is a very real phenomenon, however, keeping out even legal immigrants and making the processes of obtaining visas, migrating to or remaining in the US slower, less reliable and more difficult

As my eldest grandson often says,
"Man can fall sick for free!"

And I used to tell him every time,

"But they have to pay through the nose to get well again!"

But here these passengers have
paid through their nose in order to "fall sick!"

The Gun Business Is Bouncing Back From a Long Trump Slump

The American gun industry’s two-year “Trump slump” might finally be over. Federal background-check data released Thursday indicated stronger-than-expected retail activity in August, a positive indicator that follows closely behind Smith & Wesson’s impressive earnings last week. The fact that falling background checks, which are used as a proxy for sales, could seem like good news is a sign of just how difficult things have been for gun makers since 2016.
