Ten commandments (21st century edition)

1. Pay the monthly salary as demanded by her.

2. Pay the advance money as commanded by her.

3. Say not how a thing is to be done.

4. Say not when a thing is to be done.

5. Say not why a thing is to be done.

6. Cut not the salary for the weeks/days of her absence.

7. Ask not the reasons for this treason of her absence.

8. Dispense her medicines as and when necessary.

9. Treat her like a member of your own family.

10. Treat her with festival bonus regularly.

The eleventh commandment for those :blabla:

who often visit their children abroad. :plane:

Pay her salary in FULL for the period you will be away.

OR
when you return, she would have gone far far away :bolt:

In case you have NOT guessed correctly already...

these are the Ten Commandments given by

my good friend about her loyal servant.

right on good lady visa!! :) :) good for you good lady..

but how MANY of the forum readers do this?

i can think of think of men in this very forum who wont blink a second spending 50,000 rupees on an airplane ticket to the usa, but would grudge paying thousand rupees to the maid and 'leave it to their spouses' to do the dirty denial work; as if the maid can live on air and water while these are indulging themselves in the land of milk and honey.

and be ready with a smiling face and cleaned household with hot milk when they come back.

i dont want to name names here, but these are the so called males...but oh what a sad state we live in.

Dear Kunjuppu Sir,

Very good observation! But you are talking about the ladies of our (me and my siblings) generation.

Now a days, I see girls (even if they do no go out for work),
demanding their spouses to participate

in more than half of the household chores, even in India!
Women's LIB! :peace:
P.S: Girls have the trump card 'divorce' in their hands! :moony:

Dear Mr. Kunjuppu,
I think only me and few others about my age manage without a maid servant.
I do the chores imagining them to be a form of exercise, good for me.
Otherwise I will spending that time also in reading or writing.
But I was under the impression that I do it voluntarily.
I recently found out that it has been enforced on me
all these years and without my knowledge too!
In case my cataract surgery becomes imminent
I need to rest for at least 3 weeks.
So while trying to find a servant to take over my chores,
I am finding new truths and learning new rules -
laid by the maid servants of course.
So now I am caught in between the irresistible and the immovable forces.
The result... I myself have to wait to find it out!!!

It reminds me of the puraaNic ghandharva vivaaha.

The king would fall for a mysterious beautiful girl.

She would agree to live with him as long as

HE DOES NOT ASK HER ANY QUESTIONS

or disobey any of her wishes.

Original quote:
Ask no questions and you will be told no lies!!!

Modified quote:
Ask no questions lest you spend the rest of your life in solitude!!

I had a servant who was called as Mani

but whose was my namesake in reality.

Slowly she started assuming that she was me

and wished that I become her.

She wanted everything I had in the house

my almarah, my sewing machine, my bangles ....:bump2:

I got rid of her before she became too possessive

and start asking for things I won't give away . :scared:
