Dear VR ji,

Have you ever wondered:

1)Why Indian Airports play depressing instrumental music???

My last trip to India.. B'lore airport was playing some depressing Carnatic Instrumental music piece which could have lulled the pilots to sleep!

I was wondering "is the plane going to crash?" while waiting to board the plane.

I was hoping for some "1 2 3 4 Get on the Dance floor Dapankuthu Hardcore" style Chennai Express music.

2)Why high class restaurants also play soft boring instrumental music..I wonder why no one plays some "Here I am..Rock you like a Hurricane" sorts.

dear Renu,

May be they want to pacify the people so that they won't be very demanding, disturbing or dominating during their flight / stay in the hotel!

Be glad they do not play the wrongly named Subhapantuvaraali raagaa -
which is one played in all the ashubha occasions and national mournings!!!

On second thought this may be a reason why
some of the pilots allow young and
attractive movie stars into the cabins - :mullet:
to keep them wide awake and alert during the flight! :plane:

I believe that a person should quit when they still need him /her
and not wait to be told to step aside. step out, step away etc.

Has Tendulkar outlived his usefulness?

Senior BCCI officials are likely to ask Tendulkar to step away after playing his 200th Test. End game

Agreed..a hero should retire a hero not when he is a zero.

That way the Americans sportspersons are smart..they retire when they are still heroes.

Anything in excess is really dangerous!!!

Anything very convenient is MOSTLY dangerous!!!

The cell phone is another everyday example

of a gadget wich is both convenient and hazardous.

Sensitive people report headache while using the ceel phone.

The greater the number of transistors in a laptop,

the greater the heat produced when it is used.

The current models have millions of transistors.

Stanford university engineers have made progress along the Moore's law and

by-passing the silicon and using carbon nano-tubes in stead.

These cylindrical carbon molecules emit only a tiny fractionof the heat

produced by silicon transistor while in use.

The future of the laptop and the future laptop itself

might be literally and really very cool.

How true.

In the recent experiment an indian scientist was involved in thought transfer and made the other person twiddle his finger (without his knowledge) when he wanted to hit in a tv game. Thought transfer through internet.

Imagine someone like voldermart tries to invade satvik souls! There are a handful in the world forums.

Moore's law became obsolete even before it entered the text books.
