Good people remain good and make themselves useful
to the people round them whichever Yuga they are born in. :angel:

Bad people remain bad either as asuras, rakshasaas, kings or politicians
(or strong-headed, egoistic, aggressive, mustached male members)
depending on the yuga they live in and create chaos and confusion.

யுகங்கள் தோறும் மாறும் உலகமும், அந்த

சத்திய யுகமான முதல் யுகத்தில்,
சத்திய சந்தர்களும், தீயவர்களும்

நிந்திக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் மட்டுமே

சராசரி வாழ்க்கையில் தேவை இல்லை
சந்திப்புகளோ அன்றிச் சல்லாபமோ!

இரண்டாம் யுகமான திரேதா யுகத்தில்
இருவரும் வாழ்ந்தனர் ஒரே பூமியில்,
இரு வேறு தேசங்களில், நாடுகளில்
இருப்பினும் ஒரே பூமிப் பரப்பின் மேல்!

இராமனும், இராவணனும் போலவே
இயங்கினர் இந்த யுகத்தில் மனிதர்;
நல்லோரும் தீயோரும் வாழ்ந்தனர்
நானிலத்தில் ஒன்றாய்க் கலந்தே!

மூன்றாம் யுகமான துவாபர யுகத்தில்
முன்னேற்றம் நன்கு காணப் பட்டது!
இருவகை மனிதரும் இங்கு பிறந்தனர்
ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் உறவினர்களாக!

ஒரே இல்லத்தில் வந்து பிறந்தாலும்,
ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் பரம வைரியாய்;
ஒருவரை ஒருவர் உளமார வெறுத்து,
ஒருவரை ஒருவர் நாசம் செய்பவராய்!

கலியுகம் என்ற நான்காம் யுகத்துக்கு,
“கிலியுகம்” என்றும் பெயர் இடலாமே!
தானே தனக்கு வைரியாக மனிதர்கள்,
காணப்படுவது இந்த யுகத்தில்தானே!

நன்மையையும், தீமையும் ஒரே உள்ளத்தில்
நன்கு கலந்து உறைகின்றன அன்றோ?
நாட்டையோ அன்றித் தான் இருக்கும்
வீட்டையோ விட்டுச் செல்ல வேண்டாம்!

இருக்கும் இடத்திலேயே பாரதப்போர்
இருக்கும் எப்போதும் நிகழ்ந்தபடியே;
நன்மை மேலோங்கி வெல்லுமா அன்றி
நன்மை தீமையிடம் அடி பணிந்திடுமா?

நன்மையையும் தீமையும் பிறர் தர வாரா!
நம்முள் இருக்கும் தீமையை வென்றால்,
நன்மை நம்மை நாடி வரும்; தீமை வென்றால்
துன்பம் நம்மைத் தேடித் தேடி ஓடி வரும்!

வாழ்க வளமுடன்,
விசாலாக்ஷி ரமணி.

It dawned on me suddenly why

kovam and koovam are so closely related!!!

Kovam + O = Koovam.

When a person is angry (Kovam) :mad2:

and starts shouting (+O) = :rant:

ஸ்கூலுக்குக் குழந்தைகளுடன் செல்கிறாள்.

மஞ்சள் பூசுவதிலும், கோலம் போடுவதிலும்
மிஞ்ச முடியாது எவரும் இவளை இங்கே.

கொஞ்ச நாட்களிலேயே பழகிவிட்டாள்
குடும்பத்தில் ஒருத்தி போல என்னுடன்.

எத்தனை நிற மனிதர்கள் அத்தனின் படைப்பில்!!!

You are so right Mrs. Visala.. there was always evil and good side by side in all the yugams in the past and Kaliyugam is no exception and as it has been predicted a lot of things are coming to light.. yet I want to see the world change for the better making it a great survival of the goodness over evil.. when the world does end, there will be only spiritual beings to begin yet another journey in more exalted positions..

Strange the way things start taking shape from

an unimportant event / word/ scene / deed.

I used to write poems ON the poems written by my sister.

She has been in that line for more than a decade.

She is appreciated by the family and friends

who go gaga reading her poetry.

She told me to write on other subjects.

I wrote my first poem on Kannan.

Since Music and dance (rhythm) have become

part and parcel of everything I do in my life,

the poem also turned out to be rhythmic.

My sister gave me green signal to go on for more.

So more poems followed.

But someone has to read them in addition to myself and my sister.

I tried to get the addresses of all the spiritual magazines.

Most of them were "one-man show"s

which did not need contribution from an outsider.

Some of them looked so lean that I doubted about

their circulation (2 digits?? or 3 digits??)

Yet I posted my poems to them with covering letters.

As usual no response.

Meantime my sister blogged her poems in Wordpress.com

My Daughter in law offered to post my poems in a blog.

So I wrote more poems and on more topics.

The blog took shape well and then another followed

with all my English articles prepared for The Hindu.

Soon more articles were added.

Mr. B. Krishnamurti (whom I hardly knew then)

insisted that I join the Tamilbrahmin Forum.

More threads... more posts...more poems...more articles!!!

Later these were made into more blogs.

It is hard to believe that a chain of sheer simple coincidences

can change a person's life almost upside-down!!!

Nothing is unrelated to anything else.

Everything is connected by an invisible web.

If we dare to tread on them we will discover our destiny.

Destiny directs us, supports, us, guides us and takes us to our destination.

Destiny knows our destination MUCH better than we do!

The first comment my brother made after seeing my first blog is

"Nice that you have found a way to come out of

the control of whimsical editors once for all!"

Animals tend their offspring until they become

smart enough to fend for themselves. anda:

They they are kicked out of the cave, nest, hole or wherever they live.

Man is doing very much the same now.

He cares for children as long as it IS necessary.

He wants to have nothing to do with them later on.

This behavior is more prominent in advanced countries. :hat:

The something with his parents whom he does not need any more.

Each one for himself seems to be the motto.

When people paint the town red individually (or in the company of the others)

and get back home at odd hours, it is best that each one keeps key for his use!

How funny it looks when the one who returns earlier than the other

tries to break open the door every time!!!

Another risky corollary may result from this.

Whenever anyone is trying to break open the lock of a door, :smash:

the others may assume that it is usual midnight :drama:

and go back to without verifying

whose home is the target this time! :suspicious:
