Think or sink!

Dear Mrs. Visalakshi Ramani,

Namasthe,

Sure God appeared to the needy, when they called.
"God I do not know you, but I know you are always by my side, in me and watching me."

Nice of you to have reminded the Wonderful message by Cardinal Newman, this poem was in my English lesson
in those days.

Warm Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

dear Sir!
Namaste!
We NEED NOT know God.
It is enough if we believe in Him and His presence in us and around us.
But I am sure God knows each and everyone of us better than we know ourselves just like the parents know their children better than the kids themselves do.
That is what really matters!

Rahim Doha

Abdul Rahim Khan-e-Khana (circa1556-1627) was one of the Navratnas , nine jewels, of Mughal emperor Akbar's court. He was popularly known as Rahim or Rahim Das. A Muslim by birth, Rahim was also a devotee of Lord Krishna and wrote poetry dedicated to him. His couplets are the glittering gems of wisdom and moral.

Here are couple of gems from that treasure chest:

Samay Paay Phal Hot Hai, Samay Paay Jhari Jaat |
Sada Rahai Nahi Ek See, Kaa Rahim Pachhitat ||

Why are you worried dear? Not all times are same. There is a season when trees are loaded with fruits and leaves and there are no fruits and leaves in fall.

Nij Kar Kriya Rahim Kahi, Sidhi Bhaavi Ke Haath |
Paasa Apne Haath Me, Daav Na Apne Haath ||

We can do work but we don’t have any control over it’s outcome.
A dicer can throw his dice but can’t control the game.

Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

Gist of Indian philosophy in Rahim Das's doha!

ஞாலம் செய்யாததைக் காலம் செய்யும்.

கர்மத்தைச் செய். பலன் உன் கையில் இல்லை!

Kabir Das and Rahim Das sound as natural as Soor Das and Ram Das! :)

Radiolab (WNYC part of NPR) Home - Radiolab is a show about curiosity. Where sound illuminates ideas, and the boundaries blur between science, philosophy, and human experience.

Haunted is a story about ghost Haunted - Radiolab
How a group of paranormal investigators made one man realize what it really means for a house, or a man, to be haunted.

Please read the comments too.

Thank you for your valuable contribution. :pray2:
However I shall reserve it for tomorrow.
I am prone to mighmares and teeth grinding already! :)

The boundaries between Science, Philosophy and human experiences are man-made. Man is a complex mixture of Intellect, Emotions and mental recordings.

In deep meditation the boundary between SELF and the world disappears as proved by recording the brain function.

I am trying to find those Enlightened Images in the Internet without any success. May be you can help me sir!

The elaborate work was done by Mr. Newberg and written as a book by Mr. Vince Rause.

If I remeber correctly the title is Finding God in a Rational World.

one more year of think or sink

when I get into a pessimistic, cynical frame of mind I turn to this thread to realise life is after all

not that bad

thanks for yr posts vrji.

The book "Finding God on a Rational World" is written BY Phil Davies, a scholar and a winner of prestigious Templeton Prize The Templeton Prize and The Templeton Prize ? Previous Winners

Reviews of this book may be found here The Mind of God: The Scientific Basis for a Rational World by Paul Davies ? Reviews, Discussion, Bookclubs, Lists

I will try to search images for you when I get some free time.

Thank you once again sir! :pray2:
You have given a wonderful material for all the people in the Forum
( both the believers and the non believers) to read on the Eve of the New year. I am sure you will be able to locate the images proving clearly that during enlightenment the boundary between the self and the world disapperas.
A person sees everything in himself and himself in everything.
What a wonderful experience it must be - to be released
from the limited SELF and become the Universal SELF!!!
Small wonder the enlightemned person do not think
on the line of I and My / Mine as the others do.
They have everything and they are everything!

Dear Mr.Krish,
Do you sound vexed on the Eve of the New year??? :nono:
LIFE is wonderful and full of promises.
But for HOPE for better days, do you think life can go on???
Never let the flicker of Good Hope be put out.
After the spike in my hiked B.P and my survival without any major affliction ( from a heart attack to a stroke or even more)
LIFE has become even more wonderful for me.
I welcome everyday as a bonus given for my good behavior
and my whole mentality had changed from better to best! :thumb:
Let us make LIFE worth living for ourselves as well as for the others!
We will never need to feel blue or green or red or yellow!!!
BLUE => sadness
GREEN => jealousy
RED => anger
YELLOW => fear/ cowardice

P.S.
Soon after I joined the Forum, one elderly gentleman commented that I was infusing the Forum with a positive energy and thanked me for that.
(These are NOT his exact words but they mean the same!)

I still wonder WHAT or WHO made the automan come in to the colony.
All the schools are closed. So no school rides for a few more days.
It was too early to go to the office anyway for anyone living here.
He just came as if sommoned or ordered or commanded or called !!!
It pays to be connected with The Universal Conscience
to put such thoughts into the receptive minds!

The change in our attitude shows in our personality and behavior.

It was a great feeling to be greeted by every single person who

had gathered for the New Year special pooja and Homam.

The year 2015 has started off cheerfully.

Hope it it remain likewise throughout the year.

I got a good review with fire works for the Devi Bhaagavatam blog 1.
I had estimated the traffic would be 5000+ by the end of the year!
But since friends woud rather NOT stir out of the safety of the forum
to go and read directly from the blogs, the traffic fell short of my estimate.
But apparently it is still good -
otherwise I would not have got a good review...
considering that the blog is about an Indian Goddess
and in a South Indian language called Tamizh
and by a lady with a tongue-twisting-name! :)

I met the cute little mother of the cute little girl I like so much.
The lady looked like a school student - too young to have a son studying in the X Std!
She grabbed my attention - even before I knew who she was.
She pushed aside the slippers lying strewn every where and
made a narrow path for people to walk around freely.
Good parents make their children good.
Actions speak louder than words!!! Right??

Our temple priest looks like Sri. Mahaa Raajapuram Santhaanam
and has the voice of Voleti Venkateswara Rao.
His saareeram matches his sareeram.
His infectious energy shows in his voice and
the devotees with were enthralled by the mass prayers.
After the 'sevikku uNavu' we also were served
'vayitRukku uNavu' as the prasaadams.
The sweet pongal + veN pongal + big crisp special vadA
+ chutney+ sambar + paayasam were a treat.
It was well worth the time and enrgy spent in the temple! :)

WHITE LIES!!!

Tatang Zaenudin, an official with Indonesia's search and rescue agency, said earlier that one of the bodies had been found wearing a life jacket.

But he later said no victim had been recovered with a life jacket on.

"We found a body at 8.20 a.m. and a life jacket at 10.32 a.m. so there was a time difference. This is the latest information we have," he told Reuters.

P.S
I myself saw in the news a body floating like a giant X wearing a life jacket !!!

WILL this serve as an eye opener for the other pilots??? :plane:

[h=3]Data point to "unbelievably" steep climb before AirAsia crash - source[/h]By Siva Govindasamy SURABAYA, Indonesia (Reuters) - Radar data being examined by investigators appeared to show that AirAsia Flight QZ8501 made an "unbelievably" steep climb before it crashed, possibly pushing it beyond the Airbus A320's limits, said a source familiar with the probe's initial…
