இயற்கையின் விநோதங்களில் ஒன்று
எதிர்மறைப் பொருட்கள் கவர்ச்சி கொள்வது!
எள்ளும் அரிசியும் போன்ற எதிர்மறைகள்
எள்ளளவும் தயக்கமின்றி இணைந்து கொள்வது!

சிறிய உருவம் கொண்ட ஒரு மனிதன்
பெரிய வடிவப் பெண்ணை விரும்புவதும்;
தங்கம் போன்று மின்னும் ஒரு பெண்
தரங்கெட்ட ஒருவனை விரும்புவதும்;

எழுப்பும் நம் உள்ளத்தில் ஒரு கேள்வி,
“ஏன் பல முறை இப்படியே நிகழ்கிறது?
மலர் அம்பு எய்து மனிதரை மயக்கும்
மன்மதன் என்பவன் ஒரு அந்தகனா?”

காதலில் “விழுந்தோம்” என்கின்றார்கள்.
காதலில் “எழுந்தோம்” என்று யாரேனும்
ஒருவரேனும் கூறியது உண்டா இதுவரை?
ஒவ்வாதவர்கள் வேறு என்ன கூற முடியும்?

காதலுக்கு கண் இல்லை, உண்மைதான்.
காதலுக்கு அறிவுத் திறனுமா இல்லை?
கண்ணிமை போலத் தன்னைக் காத்தவரை
கண நேரத்தில் தூக்கி எறிவதும் எப்படி?

பட்டு மெத்தையும், பால் சோறும் தந்த
பாசம் மிகு தாய், தந்தையரை மறந்து,
நெஞ்சில் கொஞ்சமும் ஈரமில்லாது – அவர்
நெஞ்சங்களைக் கலங்க வைப்பதும் எப்படி?

நான், நான் எனத் தன்னையே மையப்படுத்தி
தான்தோன்றியாகச் செயல்படுவதும் எப்படி?
நன்றி மறந்து, சுற்றமனைத்தும் வெறுத்து
நானிலத்தில் உலவித் திரிவதும் எப்படி?

“மன்மதனே! உனக்கு ஒரு வேண்டுகோள்;
மலர்க்கணை விடும் முன்னர் சற்றே யோசி,
மனமும், குணமும், குலமும், கல்வியும்,
மண் துகள் அளவேனும் பொருந்துமா என்று!”

காகமும், நரியும் என்ற குட்டிக் கதையை
குழந்தைகளும் கூட நன்கு அறிவார்கள்.
கதையின் போக்குச் சற்றே மாறிவிட்டதால்,
கதையின் தலைப்பும் சற்று மாறிவிட்டது.

நரன் என்பது ஒரு மனிதனைக் குறிக்கும்;
நாரிமணி என்றால் ஒரு சிறந்த பெண்மணி.
நரியின் குணத்துடன் நாரியை வெல்லும்,
நரனின் தந்திரமே இங்கு காணப்போவது.

பொறுமையில் சிறந்தவள் பூமியைப் போல;
கருணையில் சிறந்தவள் ஒரு தாயைப் போல;
அறிவில் சிறந்தவள் ஒளிர் சூரியனைப் போல;
அன்பில் சிறந்தவள் குளிர் நிலவைப் போல.

இத்தனை சிறப்புகள் இருந்தபோதிலும்,
எத்தன் நரனிடம் அவள் ஏமாறுவது ஏன்?
மெத்தப் படித்தவளாக இருந்த போதிலும்,
மொத்தமாக ஏமாந்து போவது எப்படி?

தாம் பெற்ற பிள்ளைகளை, அவர்கள் முன்
தாமே புகழக்கூடாது என்கிறது மனு நீதி.
நற்குலத்தில் உதித்ததால், அவள் என்றும்
பெற்றோரின் புகழ்ச்சியைக் கேட்டதில்லை!

நரன் ஒருவன், நரியின் தந்திரத்துடன் வந்து,
நிரம்ப அதிகமாகவே அவளைப் புகழ்வான்
அவள் அறிவை முற்றிலும் மயக்கிவிட்டு,
ஆழ் குழியில் தள்ளி, அவளை அழிப்பதற்கு!

புகழ்ச்சியைக் கேட்டறியாத நாரிமணியும்,
புகழ்ச்சியில் ஏமாந்து மயங்கியே நிற்பாள்!
காகம் தொலைத்ததோ ஒரு சிறு வடையையே.
கன்னி தொலைக்கப்போவதோ தன் வாழ்வையே.

ஆதாயம் இல்லாமல் எவரும் ஒரு பாயும்
ஆற்றோடு போய்விடமாட்டார் அன்றோ?
ஆதாயம் என்ன தேடுகின்றார் என்று நன்கு
ஆராய்ந்து, ஆபத்தைத் தவிர்ப்பீர் நாரிமணிகளே!

ஐந்து அறிவு படைத்த காகம் ஏமாந்ததே
இன்றுவரை அழகிய கதையாக உலவுகிறது.
ஆறு அறிவு படைத்த நீங்கள் ஏமாந்தால்,
அது எத்தனை காலம் பேசப்படும் அறிவீரா?

If a person falls into a quick sand , he/ she will frantically struggle to come out alive.

But the frantic effort itself will make him/ her sink deeper and faster.

The exact same thing is happening in the political world.

Harder the man fights tooth and nail to save his skin,

the faster he is bringing down his own complete Ruin!

I pray that he will get what is his due quickly and mercilessly! :moony:

"Let them eat cake" is the traditional translation of the French phrase "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche",
supposedly spoken by "a great princess" upon learning that the peasants had no bread. Wikipedia

When the hungry peasants who actually produce the food people eat complained
that they had no bread to eat, they were told to eat cakes instead.

This may appear to be farfetched/ foolish/unbeleivable/atrocious.
But a very similar thing is happening here now.

The people denied of heath care benefits since it is beyond their reach
are told to go to the emergency room to get treated. I know of two cases.

1. When a young man fractured his big toe of his foot ,
he had shell out $400 for an X ray and a band aid binding the two toes together.

2.When a pregnant lady got dehydrated due to morning sickness,
she was charged $ 700 for a drip to get her rehydrated.

If a person can't afford to pay the monthly premium of health insurance
how is he expected to afford the cost of the emergency medical service??? :shocked:
 
The whim to become trim

To become trim was her whim;
But the chances were very dim.

She felt stuffed to the brim;
And things looked very grim!

It was then that she saw him;
As he came out from the gym.

HALF THE PROBLEMS ARE CREATED BY LOOSE TALKING/ TALKING WITHOUT THINKING/ LIEING / BACKBITING / VERBAL BULLYING!

PEOPLE WHOSE LONG TONGUE RUNS BEFORE THEIR BIRD BRAIN, END UP WITH THEIR FOOT/FEET IN THEIR MOUTH!

குறை குடம் தான் தளும்பி வழியும்;
நிறை குடம் என்றுமே தளும்பாது!
நெல்லின் பதர்கள் காற்றில் பறக்கும்,
நெல் மணிகள் என்றுமே பறக்காது!

இறைவன் தந்தான் இரண்டு செவிகளை,

கன்று முட்டி, முட்டிப் பால் வேண்டுவது போல,
நின்று கேட்பவர்களிடமே நாம் பேச வேண்டும்.

பால் பொங்கிய பின் வெளியே வழியும்,
மனம் பொங்கி நிறைந்த பின்னரே,
பால் போல் இனிய சொற்கள் வழிந்து,
மனம் குளிர வெளியில் வரவேண்டும்.

பயனில்லாச் சொல் பாராட்டக் கூடாது,
புறம், கோள், வம்புகள் பேசக்கூடாது;
முத்து உதிர்ந்தார்ப் போலப் பேசினால்,
உற்று கவனிப்பார்கள் மற்றவர்களும்.

பேசாத போதுதான் நினைவலைகள்,
தூசாக அடங்கிச் சற்று அமைதியுறும்;
பள்ளத்தை நோக்கி ஓடும் வெள்ளம் போல,
உள்ளத்தை நோக்கி ஓடத் தொடங்கும்.

உள்முகமாகச் சென்றால்தான் பல
உண்மைகள் நமக்குப் புரிய வரும்.
உண்மைகள் புரிந்த பின்னர், நமது
வண்மைகள் நமக்கு நன்கு புலப்படும்.

அதிகம் பேசுபவராக இல்லாமல்,
மிதமாகப் பேசுபவராக மாறுவோம்;
சக்தி வாய்ந்த நம் வார்த்தைகளை,
யுக்தியுடன் நாம் பயன்படுத்துவோம்.

யார் வந்து போனதையும் அறியாமல்,

வசை மொழிகளையும் கூட உணராமல்,
அசையாமலேயே இருந்தார் அம்மனிதர்.

மகான் ஒருவர் வந்தார் அவ்வழியே.
மண்ணில் கிடக்கும் மா மனிதனைக்

கண்டதும் கீழே அமர்ந்து மிருதுவாக,
கால்களை வருடலானார் மகிழ்வுடன்!

“எத்தனை பெரிய மகானோ இவர்!
என் பாக்கியம் தொண்டு செய்வதே!”

தன்னைப் போலவே சக மனிதர்களை
உன்னுகின்றான் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும்.

நல்லவருக்கு எல்லோரும் நல்லோரே!
அல்லாதவருக்கு அனைவரும் தீயோரே!

Suicide used to be one's desperate last step - when all hopes of a Good life were lost ! :pout:

How can boys and girls as young as 8 even contemplate of committing suicide? :shocked:

Was their life hopeless? :dizzy:

Was there no one to listen to their problems and advise? :noidea:

Was there no-one to help them overcome their problems? :noidea:

Was there no one to whom they can even discuss their problems? :noidea:

I feel dizzy to think that people with several physical defects and deformities

take up life as a challenge and make a niche for themselves. :thumb:

It is the normal children who seem to end their lives in an abnormal age in such a scary manner! :tsk:
 
I get worried when children in pre school and elementary school talk about white kids and non white kids!

Are not all human beings made equal in everything physical?

Every body has a red blood, an intelligent mind and all the emotions.

I was shocked to read that even today some white people refuse to sit next to people with black/brown/yellow skin! :shocked:

It is always "My house!" "My car!" My couch!" and "My counter!"

and never ever

"Our house!" "Our car!" "Our couch" or "Our counter!"

Children object to the good advice given by elders in the family saying

"You are NOT our mother!"

As if Mother is the only person authorized to teach a good thing to two!

In the word WEDDING the part "WE" precedes the "I"!

After getting wedded/ welded the concept should be
"We, Us and Our " and not "I, Me and Mine"!!! :moony:
 
The shock of the Jock

He was a well trained jock;
He did enjoy leading Bach.

He loved his shirt with smock;

The delivery boy brought a wok;
Delivered it to him with a crock.

இறைவன் வகுக்கிறான் நம் அடுத்த பிறவியை,
உடலை, அறிவை; நம் வடிவை, செயலை.

இசையை விரும்பிக் கற்க நினைப்பவன்,
இசைக் குடும்பத்தில் வந்து பிறக்கிறான்.

ஈசனை அறியும் ஞானம் விழைபவன்,
யோகியர் சுற்றத்தில் வந்து பிறக்கிறான்.

“உண்ணுவதே தொழில்!”, என்று இருப்பவன்,
ஊன் வளர்க்கும் ஒரு விலங்காய்ப் பிறக்கிறான்.

“உடல் போகமே என் யோகமே!”, என்று திரிபவன்,
கடைத்தேற முடியா இழி பிறவி எய்துகிறான்.

வஞ்சக நெஞ்சகம் கொண்டு வாழ்ந்தவன்,
நெஞ்சுரம் இல்லா நரியாய்ப் பிறக்கிறான்.

எச்சிலை உண்டு வாழ்ந்து மகிழ்ந்தவன்,
மிச்சம் இல்லாதுண்ணும் காக்கை ஆகிறான்.

ஒருவர் சொத்தை ஏய்த்துப் பறித்தவன்,
கரையான் புற்றில் பாம்பாய் வாழ்கிறான்.

பணத்தைச் சேர்த்துப் புதைத்து வைத்தவன்,
புதையல் காக்கும் பெரும் பூதமாக ஆகிறான்.

மனித நேயத்துடன், மனிதனாக வாழ்பவனே,
மனிதனாகப் பிறக்கும் வாய்ப்புப் பெறுகிறான்!

வையத்து வாழ்வாங்கு வாழ்பவர் வானுறையும்
தெய்வத்துள் வைக்கப்படுவர் அல்லவா?

இப்பிறவியில் மனிதராய் பிறந்துள்ள நாம்,
மறுபிறவியில் தெய்வமாக மாற முயலுவோம்!
