Those who never want to work opt for government jobs, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje quipped in a lighter vein as she asked youths to opt for self-employment and entrepreneurship."Nowhere in the world people are so charmed by government jobs but in India," she said while calling upon youths to join skill development programmes.
"Only those who don't want to work actually opt for government jobs," Raje added in a satirical tone during an address at the inaugural of the first batch at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Jhalawar.
Self-employment and entrepreneurship are the only sectors where one not only gets himself employed but also provides livelihood to three to four others, she said.
On this occasion Raje felicitated the three students, Yash, Pawan Goyal and Akhlish Jain from Rajasthan who along with three others from the country recently won gold medals in Science Olympiad.
She also praised Mharishi Dayanand Swarswati University, Ajmer for producing good results in self-employment and entrepreneurship sectors. State PWD minister Younus Khan and Raje's son Dushyant Singh who is also the local MP were present on the occasion.
On Tuesday, the first day of her two-day visit to her home constituency in Jhalawar, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone of around six development projects worth Rs 206 crore and announced several other welfare and development schemes in the region.
