An unwise person is worshiped at his residence
A Leader is worshiped in his Town
A King is worshiped in his Kingdom
A Knowledgeable person is worshiped everywhere

Hummmmmmmmm
I have my doubts about this.
1. Valmiki, Hirayankaspu.
2. Al Gore (lost his home state in presidential election)
3. Saddam Hussain, Kaddafi
4. I leave this to your imagination. Let us say P.V. narashimha Rao.

Please enlighten me with examples of each category. Thanks

Re. Narasimha rao, the congress party is dead bent on erasing his name and memory; he was the initiator of liberalization in 1991. Had this started in 1974, when the oil crisis was throttling india, we would have overtaken korea and taiwan (I think).

Vajpayee, when he was the pm, paid his respects to a old tamilian lady (a social worker) by bending and touching her feet. Recently, an old day touched the feet of rahul gandhi; our media has chosen to ignore this! A boy tying the shoe lace of an mp minister got a wide critical viewing in the tv. Despite her orders not to do, some ministers of jayalalitha still fall at her feet. One minister even refused to wear chappals in her presence, and took oath of office in bare feet.

I agree with you, the subhashita has to be rewritten to reflect modern behaviour.

Everyone, as a human being, worry too much about many aspects, which he/she
cannot alter if something is wrong or something goes wrong. There is no alternate
route to that but to entrust that to the God for a solution. One of the best ways
to worship is to remain silent in front of HIM with closed eyes for a few minutes.

Thoughts have enormous ability to do or act and are purely
similar to seeds which we sow in our mind . Positive thoughts
always give us energy while negative thoughts steal away our
mind and make us feel tired and injure or weaken.

Most people give up just when they're about to achieve success. They quit on the one-yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one-foot from a winning touchdown.

There are two kinds of failures: those who
thought and never did, and those who did
and never thought.
