i like to add....mainly tirunelveli brahmins moved travancore state during raja kerala varma/swati tirunaal period...some palakkad
agraharams basically from thirunelveli...kadayanallur/sankaran kovil/ambasamudram are mostly vadama villages....some acharya
from tirunelveli in sringeri peeth...so0 many are sringeri acharya devotees...i visited nellai appar/kanthimathi amman temple too
one of my athai daughter married to tirunelveli brahmin....tirunelveli tamil/palakkad tamil/coimbatore are more similarities...due to
kerala border/malayalam influence.....the halwa near tirunelveli jn very famous....i bought once....long time back...
The TIrunelveli guys are good people. My mother s side are from that side and they belong to a beautiful village called Elathur which is situated in between the Tenkasi and Sengottai route. From there you can see the Western ghats itself. They are very very friendly, talkative and humorous people. When you talk with them, you ll think that they are "Dubakoor" people, but good at heart.
They are a famous family in their village. Cricket umpire Hariharan is also one among them who came from that village.
And of course that alwa..I brought 2 kgs for myself
