In fact, many Hindu priests say that you could have a divorce or even worse, your husband could die after marriage.

So, if this term exists in astrology then it should be prevalent in all the religions and sections of society. However, this is not so! It is simply restricted to only one religion. While Hindu priests may suggest different ways to ward off any evil associated with the Mangal Dosha remember, that marriage is about love and understanding of two individuals. manglik is an interesting concept existing through out india.it is a hindu concept definitely condemning both sexes born with this lable. there is also a gradation regarding the extent and intensity of mangaldosham .
equally interesting is the concept of pariharam or nivarthi to overcome /reduce the impact of mars.by performance of pujas and rituals
Astrologers and priests exploit the sentiment of people under this head .
one escape route is avoiding arranged marriages or getting a decent horoscope made without this dosha or bad stars such as ayilyam,moolam ,kettai etc. if you can collect false caste certificate for better educational and job prospects,astrologer can prepare a good horoscope for a good cause.As you say marriage is about liking and understanding . success and failure of marriage depends on married couple and not on horoscopes

Astrology does not help anybody and everybody to become multimillionaire. It shows tendencies which can be analyzed only by interested persons. People believing in astrology do not die of it and they do when they have to. Similarly, people live on without astrological help and they do die when they have to. There are mangalik affected people all over this country. They remain in their shell of misfortune or a few might have become astrologers, successfully or otherwise according to their tendencies. There are mangalik people living successfully on some other overriding factors. It is not a wayward gimmick or an ultimate tool of intelligence. Some people can be musicians and some people do not have ears for music. There are some people making a living on astrology and there are some who have pastime on the subject.
