RSS rewrites history: Dalits 'created' by invaders - Hindustan Times
I find this article hard to digest.
It just seems that everyone is singing "We didnt's start the fire!"
Now Dalitism is being blamed on Muslim Invasion.
When are we Hindus going to admit our own weakness and working to rectify that?
The article says that the Sudra was never considered an Untouchable but after Invasion all these Dalitism started!
I wonder..have these people read our own scriptures?
Manu Smirti was written before Invasion of Invaders.
The Adi Shankara- Chandala episode was before any Invasion of the Non Hindu kind.
It is just that the word Dalit was not present.
Being a Sudra was bad enough in the eye of Hinduism.
So many stanzas of Manu Smirtis show gross disrespect to a Sudra.
For emphasizing the duties of a Brahmin..fear is instilled that a Brahmin that fails his duties becomes a Sudra.
Then everything and anything is always dragging in a Sudra even to extent of amputation of his limbs if he has committed a crime and other Varnas get away with a lesser sentence.
The there is the believe that one should not eat in front of a Sudra etc..Manu Smirti is just filled with the word Sudra. What is the need to show disrespect to a member of the same Varna system?
A Sudra is also doing his Dharma..so why degrade him and keep scaring a Brahmin to not fail otherwise he becomes a Sudra.
That shows gross disrespect and prejudice.
If RSS wants to rewrite history..they should also think of re writing scriptures.
There is no use painting a picture that Non Hindu Invasion made everyone brain dead.
After all Hinduism survived any onslaught..so there is no excuse to blame Dalitism on an Invader.
After all Non Hindu Invasion in other countries did not produce Dalitism!
Its better to know the truth no matter how bitter it is. Admit mistakes and learn from it.
Only those who have no guts blames another for their shortcomings.
