Wedding Expenses

Does anyone know what expenses a bride's father must make in an Aiyangar wedding? I'd like to make this known as well - asking my elders for help, but would also like to hear from this community on what is the current state.
This is a shameless question. In my own marriage although I said I don't need anything. But their side insisted as it is their duty. I remember they paid me for my dress. Even Thirumangalyam they made it and I paid to my mother-in-law 50% of the cost in the 1980s.
Iyer or Iyengar don't go these old gramophone way and queek sound. Think positively. No show off needed. My friend married in yellow dhothi and sngavasthram and also bride in yellow normal saree. No reception.
Give value only rituals and Vedic pandits. Reduce glamour and Even management expenses.
