Here are some sage thoughts of Dalailama in a brief dialogue between him and a Brazilian theologian
forwarded to me, which I wish to share with our members.

Thank you Shri Brahmanyam, for sharing this wonderful article with all of us here...


I feel and I wish, this article should be published in the first page of the news paper through out the world and on the first page of the online news paper, as the norm of the print media, every day without fail. The rule should be stringent, such that, if any news paper/online paper fails to adhere to this rule, will have the license cancelled.

If this is done, I believe, many unwanted unrest and clashes would come to halt or at least would drastically reduce.

Printing/publishing this good and most warranted message just once and passing them through emails, would not really suffice and would not create the needed positive impact on human kind in the present scenario, IMHO.

The original post forwarded to me is in the form of a wonderful Power Point Presentation of slides with soothing music in the background. Since I do not posses the knowledge to forward the same with music, I chose the next best by forwarding the message slides.

Many viewers (including me) do not have time to go through all the threads in the forum. However, I was led to your post here in a circuitous way. Nevertheless, this is an outstanding post. I wish you would repost it in the GENERAL DISCUSSIONS section, in an appropriately titled thread there. It is not about religion per se.

An excerpt from the above paper:

Vive Kananda, coming forward, said……. "Mine, mine," is the cry, never "thine, thine." "My religion is best." "No, mine," and so they fight as did the savage tribes about their rival gods, Mambo and Jumbo. Competition in religion, as in business, is the bane of all.

Note how the name of swamiji is pronounced!

Every religion has its own importance and significance. Therefore, it may be difficult
to rank the religions as such. Once can not come to a conclusion that a particular
religion is best or better. May be the sermons of the religions may be different but
all come to one particular point. Though some people jump across the religion for the
sake of material benefits, heart of heart, they too may not have shifted from Hindu
relgion. I do not think any religion will say openly to stop adopting other religions
practices and follow theirs only. It is all the human beings with their individual
thinking and shift of mind get embraced to other religions. Generally one should not
underestimate or come to a wrong sense of assessment of other religions. In total,
one good concept that Hindu Religion has - a person should marry only one woman.
Here I do not interlink with other religions or practices that is in vogue even amongst
Hindus.

There is a name for this...it's called "Uncomplicated ism".

It is not a wish...it is the innate nature of man to be uncomplicated.

This religion is hardly practiced cos we humans feel being complicated is being holy.

Nice name... Ma Renuka Uncomplicated Mayi (MRUM)..I guess I should start an Ashram.

Ashram will have:

1)Medical check up
2)Sanskrit lessons
3)Ritual free marriage!LOL
4)Daily Bhajans.. anything welcome right from Azan to Vedic Chantings.
5)Fully equipped Gym personally supervised by MRUM cos Bhaktas need to be slim and trim.
6)Morning Nagarsankirtan will be fast brisk walk while singing so that one can keep in shape while praying.
7)Silk and Leather not allowed in Ashram.Purely Ahimsa Ashram.
8)Food will be low fat,high fibre and Sattvic diet.
