What is the subsect of palghat raghu, the mridangam wizard

Sometime back, i requested the members to furnish information

on popular iyers in the four subsects. Whilst some members

furnished information, whether correct or not, others

responded which was connected to the subject at all.

Now i would like to know the subsect of palghat raghu, the

great mridangam wizard.

The purpose of knowing such information is only for academic

sake and nothing else. It is only out of curiosity i want such

information to know how the four sects performed in the

various fields.

Please provide such information if available.

When I received advanced training from Karaikudi Mani Iyer in India, we once visited him and by looking around his house I guess he was a Vadama. He could've also been a Brahacharam iyer, don't know for sure though.
