hi p j sir,

is it raaji maami asadu?.......just joking....

tbs Sir

You really wanted to say "ராஜி மற்றும் ராஜம் என்று பேரு வைத்தவர்கள் அதி அசடு" but somehow added a few words!!
I am not falling for this... but Brahma Vidhi is applicable to both men and women!!

Idhu nan sollala...

'Asadu' did not have an ' ! ' mark which shows that I am NOT asadu! :nono:

The asadu,
in P J Sir's words, is the one who is

not able to woo girls in this birth
P.S: All Rajis including me are very efficient ladies and nice friends, in my circle too! :thumb:

Venum nanna Venum enakku, unga pecha kettu!!

My family is big and so is my friends circle! :grouphug: Here is an interesting episode:

Once my son was caught in the airport for talking to his cousin, who was to board a flight to some other country!

Since he went to some other lounge, the officers took him for an interrogation. The question asked was,

'Can you tell the official name of the person whom you met just now?' My son replied, 'Sir! He is my first

cousin and we call him RamaNA!'. The officer was upset and again asked, 'You don't know even your first

cousin's official name?' for which came the cool reply, 'Sir! When I have 17 first cousins from my father's side

and 6 from my mother's side, how do you expect me to remember ALL official names?' The officers burst into

laughter and let him go! T B S sir might have read this episode in one of my earlier Tamil write ups.

Raji Madam

It seems Brahmin boys are not love Stuff!! Then how could i win over a Girl even in my next birth?

Read this:

Brahmin guys are not for love making

I read this..I wonder why people think Brahmins guys are not good looking.

I have not seen many TBs in college but mostly were just like other guys. Not that much different from other South Indian guys.

The North Indian Brahmins guys tend to be good looking and tall with Bollywood hero types of looks.
They were not timid or shy but very brave and dare chase and also marry any girl of any caste.

It is mostly the South Indian Brahmin guys who are shy...but even most South Indians NB guys are also shy and some how the North Indian guys from any caste are more bold and chase girls and end up with girlfriends faster than SI guys.

South Indian guys tend to look for homely looking girls and North Indian guys tend to look for heroine types of looks.

It has to do with myth. People used to say Brahmins are tall, fair, good looking, blah blah - but in reality they are not so much different from the general population of south India (some difference is there, but the myths were exaggerated). I found out for myself when I visited TN and found a lot of people thinking me to be a North Indian. With that "novelty factor" not being there, it becomes a disappointment and they are less interesting to the average girl.

Hmm....not really. It depends on what you define as good looking, I mean, what I might find attractive would not be attractive for you and vice versa.
Even so, look at, for example, Biharis, Jharkhandis and Bengalis - most are dark and not very tall. They are still pucca North indians!

NI girls also do the "chase", and quite well. I have some experience of this, though at the age of less than 20 I wasn't really ready for a relationship.

Not necessarily, it depends on the person.

BTW, I have uploaded some pics of mine in my albums. Would appreciate your comments :)

Dear XLR8R,

I checked out your pics.

You have an all India look that is a hybrid Indian look that can pass off as any Indian.

I assume you have more than one type of Indian blood in you.

Now comes the ultimate compliment be ready!

one of your pics reminds me very much of a very young Ajit Kumar when he first entered films.

renukaji

It has nothing to do with how a Brahmin guy looks; most of them are shy, Amma Kai pillay, self centered, lacks courage to approach a girl and give a love letter or tell their feelings, no chance of eloping with his girl friend, thinks other communities are less clean and many more.

Yes, North Indian Brahmin boys looks fair and handsome compared to South Indian Brahmin boys, but they too lacks courage to approach a girl.

Checked XLRBR picture now , he looks much matured.

renukaji and P.J.,

Thank you for the compliments. I do get references to Ajith Kumar a lot in my family. I am not as much mixed as you think though :)

Yes, generally I do pass in most parts of India, except the North East, though I get called a Bengali a lot!

@P.J.: Fair doesn't necessarily mean handsome/beautiful. I know many dark people who look very handsome/beautiful. As for NI brahmin boys, basically speaking yes they are also more reserved but generally they do approach. The main difference is that among NIs, girls make an approach too unlike SI girls (like I said, SI girls don't make the second, third or even nth move :P ). But yes, SI B boys ought to be a bit more social, my experience is that they try to be successful in their work/study and keep social interactions to a minimum :)

Dear PJ sir,

In my post I mentioned that NI Brahmin guys are good looking but I did not mention about skin color cos some are fair..some are tanned too.

Skin color has not much effect on overall good looks.

Ajay Devgan is also a North Indian Brahmin and he is dark skinned and good looking.

Kajol is also a dark skinned Bengali Brahmin girl and she is so pretty with such lovely eyes.

When I said NI Brahmin guys are good looking...I meant that they have good personalities and are better built and good facial features.

Nope..I don't agree with you..NI Brahmin guys are not shy.

In the nearby Engineering College where I studied..it used to be some Sharma,Misra, Pathak,Agnihotri',Bhanot,Jha,or a Tripathi who used to be the ones who would even get down from the bike and propose to a girl in the middle of a road with a flower in their hand kneeling down on one knee movie style.

Dear renukaji,

East Indian and South Indian Brahmin boys are shy, from my experience, much to the chagrin of the girls of those respective communities. I also agree with you that skin colour has little to do with attractiveness as I know several people who are dark skinned but still very handsome/beautiful :)

Dear XLR8R,

You have used to word Dark Skinned BUT still very handsome/beautiful.

The usage of the word BUT denotes that dark skin individuals are not usually attractive.

If we rephrase it as dark and beautiful it will sound the same as fair and lovely.

The best example is Lord Krishna..we all describe Him as Meghashyama Manohara( rain cloud dark hued who takes our mind away)..never we see a description as
Meghashyama Parantu Manohara( rain cloud dark hued but yet takes our mind away).

So we Indians should do away using the word Dark But Beautiful we should say Dark and Beautiful just like how we say Fair and Lovely.

Greetings.

While this thread is still running.... Few nights ago, I had a dream which did not end abruptly. I was going through a very light sleep/nap. The dream was neither good nor not so good. It was from the period when I was practicing my trade. I was informed my job would be up in a week or so and I was required to find an other job. My sleep got disturbed.. when I went back to sleep, dream continued... I found a different job and I was working in the factory.... again my sleep disturbed.. this time I knew I was dreaming, I even thought about this thread! Dream continued.... Just before I woke up, in the dream I was working in the factory where I used to work as a youngster.... Thought about sharing.

Cheers!

Sri. P.J, Greetings.

Personally for me, dreams don't end in 'good part'. They end only when they are not so good and I wake up with a start in a cold sweat. Only once I was convinced I was going to die... woke up as I was trying to escape... a vivid dream.. didn't even have cold sweat that time.

A nice dream just continues..... I remember few occasions I remember waking up twice and went back to sleep to continue the same dream.

Cheers!

Raghy Sir

Greetings

Really unbelievable that you are able to continue your dream in spite of you waking up few times!!

Sri. P. J Sir, greetings.

I was not really awake completely though. Half asleep. Secondly, the dream was not complete. Few bis were lost in between. Idon't know how to explain. But it was not a deep sleep.

Cheers!

@renukaji: agreed completely. I meant it in the reference of the popular perception of darker skinned people not being considered as attractive.

@P.J.: Yes, even I have such dreams where it continues despite my sleep being interrupted. Very weird!

Dear PJ sir,

One can even alter the dream during the waking up interval break.

It is like this..when one is awake for a second or two..even when eyes are opened one can still "see" the dream in our mind.

That itself proves that we see with the visual centre of the brain and if you touch the centre of our forehead that time it will be slightly warmer than usual when we are "seeing" with our mind.

Then if you don't like the story of the dream we can opt to alter the story and sleep back again and have the dream again with the ending we wanted.

All these can happen within 5- 10 second of interval waking and sleeping again.

These is actually quite normal for some individuals.

I am writing this from my personal experience.
