Why do some Non Religious People haunt Religious forums??

Having said this, please tell me how can bringing liquor & meat into a TB ceremony be called as refining our religion or add value to our discussions?

Cheers,

Dear JK,

Since I am not a TB..I usually do not comment on TB lifestyle so regarding meat and alcohol I wont comment since I myself am a Vegan and do not drink alcohol.

But from a personal point of view regarding meat and alcohol in religion generally for all Hindus....from what I have read in Manu smirti some religious rites for the departed in the past have included exotic animals from a Discovery Channel!LOL

So it seems to me that vegetarianism was not that much enforced in the past as there seems to be grey areas with regards to that.

Also the mention of animal sacrifice in scriptures can not be denied.

With regards to alcohol, Soma Juice seemed like some potent intoxicant or even hallucinogen.

So I have no idea what is the mind of the members that you claim who want to bring in meat eating and alcohol...I have no idea if they intend to revert to ancient days where everyone ate meat using a Yagna as an excuse and enjoyed Soma juice for their Happy Hour.

So JK..this is my very honest reply.

Dear Jaykay,
When one reaches the top he wonders what changes have happened in the bottom.
When one goes subterranean ..one starts to wonder what the surface above him might be like.
The human mind is never stable enough to be contended where ever it is.
So there is nothing really surprising that one might feel they are on top and others are below and vice versa.
One is only at peace when one is neither on top nor below.
How is that possible? That is what Spirituality is all about.
Till this state is experienced no one is religious.

I overheard this conversation between two birds sitting on the tree branch outside my bedroom:

He bird: This post is good. I like it. It is tantalizingly vague.

She bird: Now you are tantalizingly vague. Do you like it or not understanding it?

He bird: Both.

She bird: Now you are no more tantalizing.

He bird: That is your problem.

She bird: you are becoming a pain. You wasted my time.

He bird: What is time? What is inside it and what is outside it? Are you inside it or outside it?

She bird: Go to hell. I am going to go look for my next meal of worms.

He bird: Tell me what is hell and then go. Otherwise you will go to hell.

She bird: There is no choice for me because that will be a place where you will be there by my side. I will stay back and send you over there quickly.

Next day I did not see the male bird there.

I thought Ravan's 10 heads were not balanced! What you say is true Even man with a single head is mentally unstable!

Hi Renuka Ji,

Will you agree, if people drink & go to a temple? No one is bothered if they go to a bar & drink, but what is the need to bring it into a religious ceremony & tout about it to all the religious folks here?

Our religions are founded on non-violence & respect for animals, so to bring meat is totally unacceptable into any of our religious TB ceremonies!!. Agree, there may be some isolated practices on animal sacrifice etc.. but it is not part of mainstream religion.

Cheers,

These must be migratory birds that landed in India...its not possible that they are Indian birds.

Indian female bird wont wish to send her husband to hell.

Dear JK,

I frankly do not really bother what another does as long he does not break the law as to cause harm to others and himself.

There are many others who are sober when they go to a temple but still do not adhere to righteousness. So if we start listing faults..it will be a never ending list.

If someone is too drunk and causes trouble in a temple then they relevant authorities can escort him away for being a public nuisance.

Does this also apply to indian birds which migrated to elsewhere?

We have to do a genetic study to see how much inter species marriage has taken place among Birds of Indian origin that have left the country to determine the response of the female bird in sending her husband to hell.

Take a closer look at the 'Archana Thattu' of this lady waiting to do her Pooja! you can see a bottle of Bocardi! This is offered to the deity and given back to you as prasad. This picture was taken by me at " Kalabhairav Temple " in Ujjain - Indira Gandhi had visited this temple offered prayers and was re elected with majority to form the Government after her previous defeat!!

Here people donot drink and go to temple ! They drink it after offering to the Gods as prasad!

Does god really care, what is presented as archana. They present the blood of Bali goat to Kali. It is all manmade practice. We should not impose some other man made rule. We should participate if you like or walk away.
