If u lose your mobile in India,
you can get it back.

Got an interesting fact to share..
Nowadays each one of us
carries very high end or latest
Mobile devices which always
Fears that it may be stolen.

Each mobile carries a unique
IMEI no. i.e. International Mobile Equipment Identity No which
can be used to track your
mobile anywhere in the world.

This is how it works!!
1. Dial *#06# from your mobile.
2. Your mobile shows a unique
15 digit.

3. Note down this no anywhere
But except in your mobile as
this is the Number which will
help trace your mobile in
Case of a theft.

4. Once stolen you just have to
E-mail this 15 digit IMEI No.
to [email protected] with detail
Mentioned below.

Your name:____________________
Address:______________________
Phone model:_________________
Make:_________________________
Last used No.:_________________
E-mail for communication:_____
Missed date:___________________
IMEI No :_______________________

5. No need to go to the
police.

6. Your Mobile will be traced
within next 24 hrs via a
complex system of GPRS
and internet, You will find
where your hand set is
being operated even in
case your No. is being
changed.

Sir,

Thanks for sharing this information.:-)

Kindly let me know whether this facility availble to VSNL only or in general to all internet providers?
Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

I know my phone will never be stolen cos here thieves only steal smart phones.
So just use a cheap phone..no one will steal it. That is why I only use cheap phones.

I remember my mum left her cheap phone in a park and it was still there the next day..no one took it.

Smart phones can also be cheap. Screen size, resolution. type of screen, processor etc decide the price band. Are you using a smart phone, or a feature phone or a simple walkie talkie phone? In chennai in richie street, sealed boxed phones are available for as low as rs 250.

You miss a whole lot of convenience, pleasure and experience if you do not use a smart phone. LOL.

The phone I am using is the cheapest Nokia here..costs me only RM 78!
It is only for phone calls and sms...its not a smart phone at all.

I dont really think so...cos I have noted that people who use smart phones do not have very good memory cos they keep saving every important stuff in their phone and use less of their brains.

To my unproven "theory" I feel smart phone usage is going to lead to less neuronal activity in the brain and eventually dementia/Alzheimer's is going to increase in the near future.

I have also noted that those who use smart phones tend to get angry very easily and become impatient and they get too addicted to even texting while driving and obviously the rate of accidents too increase becos of this.

With usage of smart phones humans have lost respect for other humans in situations like an accident or death..instead of helping the victim they take snaps and upload the snaps or video online.

I feel a smart phone is like alcohol..many think they can be occasional drinkers but finally the alcohol drinks them.

Also smart phone usage makes human interaction less..just go to any restaurant and watch people..even couples who are dating are not holding hands at the dinner table ..they are busy updating their status on Facebook.

But the main reason I am still not using a smart phone is that I dont want my memory to be affected..I always make sure I remember things only with my mind and not even write anything anywhere cos if we do not train our mind we lose the neuronal activity.

Dear Renu,

I fully agree with you. One of my dear friends used to have only basic model mobile phone but has a 'plan', which allowed 10 free

short messages per day. Just to use the facility, she used to send messages, whether needed or not! That action always reminds

me of 'pEn pAkkaRadhu'! She gets upset if someone talks to her while she sends messages. Now, she has a smart phone and soon
join 'whatsApp family group'. I am scared of talking to her any more! :fear:

BTW, I have an old blackberry, which was about to be thrown away by one of my nephews! I like it because no need to press thrice

for each of the third alphabet! And......... I seldom use s m s!
:D

Smart phones should be smart enough to become non functional dummy once it is handled by unauthorised persons. It may have bio metric sensor to read handprints to recognize unauthorised handlers and make itself useless junk.It is just an idea which may become a reality in future.,who knows.

hi

recently i got new iphone 6...they asked my bio metric for activation.....passcodes are very important too...
