I am unable to find out.. I have received these photos as mail frwd.. The 'doli' must be very early period when old people

were carried [ may be rich people also..!!] ..

Many thanks Mrs.Raji Ram for posting enlarged photos for the benefit of members. I remember vividly having
been carried in a doli from the foot of the hill by two people when I was eight years old. It was not for rich people alone but
for the old, physically handicapped and children as well. Now I pity the plight of the carriers in those days who did the job for a pittance.

As Guru Sir has mentioned, 'Naina' Sir also asked how to post the enlarged pictures, in one of the threads.

If we post it from our hard disc, only the thumbnail is loaded. I experienced this when I tried to post pictures

from the Denver zoo album stored the hard disc. Here, I followed this procedure: Right click on the enlarged

photo; left click on 'copy image'; right click in the space to post it and left click again on 'paste'.

No doubt they would have been paid very less and it's no easy job too but they had the Bhagyam of walking up and down daily to the shrine of God.

Very well said Dr.Renukaji. Ofcourse doing seva to the bhaktha's makes the lord even more happy is what i have read in manya magazines and heard from the wise people. In the big pandals where the lord kalyana utsavam happens i have seen some people standing with a big fan and swing that thisway & that way to bring relief to many hundreds sitting there. They will do this for hours together.. doing seva is more precious ...

3. Wide road with bus - 30s -4os - bends are concreted, rst tar
4. Kali gopuram - 40s everybody in doti
5. Bus and passengers 40s. 30s if the bus is wood/ coal burning type
6. annadanam - 30s
7. Hundi 60s
8. Utsavar - 50s -60s - the house has concrete window shades

The walk up the hills has its own charm....There is always the thrill of walking the steps of the sacred Tirumala hills to reach the abode of Lord...I have walked as a small boy...The last I walked was about 5 years back for some vow

My mother in her seventies with week knees also walked with us...She has had several fractures in the last 2 decades ...At times she would just crawl on the steps like a baby...But her devotion to the Lord pulled her up..Not once she sighed or got exasperated..It is her will power that made her walk...Salutations to the Lord of seven hills for this achievement
