The walk up the hills has its own charm....There is always the thrill of walking the steps of the sacred Tirumala hills to reach the abode of Lord...I have walked as a small boy...The last I walked was about 5 years back for some vow
My mother in her seventies with week knees also walked with us...She has had several fractures in the last 2 decades ...At times she would just crawl on the steps like a baby...But her devotion to the Lord pulled her up..Not once she sighed or got exasperated..It is her will power that made her walk...Salutations to the Lord of seven hills for this achievement
I don't know how other members will view my opinion...Yes ..I realy like the climbing by the steps but with different purpose... Almost in every two years I test my endurance in these thirumala hills.. When I climbed the hills as a first timer about 12 years back..I realised that this the place where physical, Mental and religious aspects merge together...
Last time I took upon the challenge of climbing in minimum possible time..and I did in 2hrs and 55 minitutes..started at 5.45 am and completed at 8.40 am.. If possible & time permits.. I want to do the climbing in less than this timing.. Incidentlly both my sons are planning to do the up&down by steps in 2hrs or more than that[ both of them are marathon runners..so no problem]...
