there is always a special thrill in revenge stories. especially when the underdog has the die cast against him due to the times, castes, poverty, society and money.

this is a delightful little story of revenge against a middle caste 'minor' of a small village, by the lower caste man, whose wife the minor had raided!

one cannot help hooting with laughter at the end of the story... :)

Dear Kujuppu,

I enjoyed many blogs By Manikandan. He is just natural. I liked his style of expressions. Also, I read many blogs and stories from other authors from the link provided by Manikandan, Book marked it..... Would have hours.. no, days of reading from there.

Thank you for posting the blog.

Cheers!

Dear Sri Kunjuppu,
This is the first time I hear about Manikandan and his Blog. I have gone through a few short stories written in his Blog. Glad that he is from my old District of "Coimbatore"
The Story பிராமணனின் பிணம் is the synopsis of UR Anantamurthy's famous Novel Samskara- A Rite for dead man. URA is a well known Critic of Brahmin Orthodoxy. He is not new to controversies. Manikandan's writing style is crisp just like the new age writers.
Regards,
Brahmanyan,
Bangalore.

Lol. It has to be a relative of the victim who has to take revenge even in a story in India. Do you remember Bobbit. There it was direct action by the victim.

dear raghy, very happy coonecting you with manikandan.

dear brahmanyan, i saw the movie again after a gap of 35 years. samskara the movie is awesome. also i read the english translation. the movie beats the translation. girish karnad is absolutely super though i think this movie topped his movie career. i have been looking all these years for art movies from him. i think he did 'kaadu' another ura novel?

best wishes..
