Ancestry question

Namaskaram.

The Vadula/Vathula Gothram does not have much information online, however, you may find some information below. Furthermore, please be aware that this is a genealogical tracing and not of where members of your family have travelled.

Another point I find may be of value to you is that many times when disaster strikes and the brahmins are forced to leave (e.g., Thanjavur brahmins relocating to Pallakad, Andhra, Karnataka, et cetera) they "change" their kula deivam to either a big temple like your case or a temple in close proximity to where they have relocated.

Try to find your family name and find people in your locality with that family name. Talk to them and try some research. Going by gothram might not help as it will be like using rasi to predict your astrology.

For example I am a kidambi.. I will look for kidambi from my locality in chennai and try to find out more from them
