Danger to Hindu temples!

I am publishing the following letter that was forwarded to me.

A few of us r trying 2 raise awareness of the major problems with Hindu temples in some regions of India ..particularly Andhra Pradesh.Pl don't b mislead by hindu names, they r christian converts who keep their original hindu names 2 fool ppl.

Hindu Temples, Institutions & Hinduism itself are illegally targeted by Governments in India. About 34,000 Temples are under Govt. control. Only 18% of revenue is given back for temples, while 82% used for other purposes. at govt's discretion.

Looting, Massive sale of temple lands, Demolition, Encroachments, aggressive religious conversions in temples vicinity occurring all over AP. In Tirupathi Govt. attempted to take over 5 out of 7 Tirumala Hills for Church and Tourism.Recently 15 temples were demolished for Golf Course.Tens of thousands of acres of endowment lands, meant for sustenance in perpetuity are being sold without approval of the Hindu community and without any justification

AP Govt. allocates 1.1 crores for Mosques, 6.5 crores for Churches. Pays Haj trips (12,000 Rs per pilgrim) with pending proposal to Bethlehem. Compare this with 50% bus fare surcharge on MahaSivarathri day taxing poor Hindus similar to Auranazeb’s Jizya tax.

Minorities get more privileges than the majority Hindu community which is deprived of the same. Hindu Festivals like Holi, Janmashtami and Rama Navami (in AP) are no more Govt. Holidays.

other examples-

The state Govt. in association with Missionaries has particularly targeted the World famous Tirupathi temple.

Out of 11,000 acres owned originally by Simachalam temple, record of only 8000 acres exists and more than 3000 acres of land was encroached.

Any attempt made by any journalists to cover such atrocities is thwarted by the govts eg In July 2006, TV Journalist Om Prakash who attempted to record the Christian Evangelical activity was beaten up and his equipment was confiscated.

Sad to see that Hindus have become refugees in their land. Aurangzeb plundered our temples, and our "hindu" leaders are doing the same thing.:ohwell: OTOH, BRahmins are also oppressed.

We are hindus as well as brahmins. So do we fight this as hindus or brahmins? Heaven knows!

In any case, we've reached a stage where only a miracle could save us. We have no vision, no leadership, nothing. Let's pray to Lord Krishna to give us strength to face the inevitable.:yuck:

Dear Sri Kashyap Ji,

I thank you for taking my comments the right way. I now know where you are coming from. Anyways, there is no controversy.

Yes, I agree that there are other ways to make the playing field even than the 'quota' system. But as usual, the 'socialist' leaders of that time, have instituted a wrong policy. It would surely be interesting to see what results the 'quota' system has achieved over all these years!

My point is that some redressing was needed at the time of quota implementation, because we did/do have a sizeable disadvantaged population, but the method chosen was wrong.

Pranams,
KRS

Name deception

It comes as no surprise that Y. Samuel Rajasekhara Reddy (conveniently abbreviated as YSR Reddy), and Suzanna Arundhati Roy, and Reverend Kancha Illiah of the IIT-bashing fame, maintain their "Hindu" names so that they can fool people as if all are a herd of sheep.

But as they say, in every herd, there are a few wolves who are watching.

I am publishing the following letter that was forwarded to me.
