Jananeejathare - in the mother's womb, Sayanam - lying, Iha - here, Samsaare - in this Samasaare (process),

Dear Krish Sir,

One community in Coimbatore district used to say when something bad happens, 'idhu enna karumamO!'. As a kid, I did not understand

what it meant. Now it is very clear that it rather means the bad karmas in the previous births! To be frank, as long as there is happiness

in life, no one thinks of good karma. But during testing times, people tend to blame the bad karma in the previous life, which implies that

they have been GOOD throughout this life!
happiness is not something which can be purchased from the market . it is a mind set. many keep blaming karmas and previous birth when confronted with issues they have no control over or not able to manage. it is only a thought process to cope with suffering which some event causes. people should be down to earth and learn to cope and act to alleviate their sufferings and get over bad times through planning and action.karma theories many times makes people drop outs and these people tend to increase their sufferings thru inaction.there are good times and some bad times. life comes as a package. when there are bad times , It would be a good idea to believe that good times are not far away and is easily reachable

Everyone knows that happiness is NOT purchased from the market.

We are taught right from the childhood to be happy and contented with what we get. But that doesn't mean that we should just laze

around and waste our time. We have to work hard and be happy with the results - that is it!

When good persons suffer during their end period, it makes me believe in karma theory because the reason is unknown to us!

Actually its very hard to be equiposed in all situations..when we are calm and happy we might view death as just a change of garment and we might even say that we can welcome it but when someone is faced with impending death...the initial reaction is acute fear..then the next stage might be even denial..then sometimes anger....next some might go into depression ..only then its finally acceptance...its just that the degree of expression of all these reactions differs from individual to individual.

So like what some Swamiji's say.."dont fear death blah blah blah." at times some one should ask these Swamiji's if they actually know how the human mind feels...cos no one goes right away to the final stage of acceptance..its takes time to reach there.

So there is no actual need for anyone to reach the stage of acceptance right away..its normal to go thru all stages..that is how the human mind was designed to cope with any form of acute/chronic stressful situations.

A highly placed officer was diagnosed of cancer, soon after his retirement. He had seen a few of his friends suffer with cancer

and opted to undergo euthanasia. It was rather easy for him because he remained a bachelor!

Dear RR ji,

I have seen "proud" patients who would not like to be dependent on anyone..these are the types that can not face any type of adversity and take the most drastic decisions.

They are actually not humble enough to realize that at times we are totally helpless. There is nothing wrong letting others care for us(remember what Sushi wrote?)

Even in Acheh Indonesia when the Tsunami hit..a rich man of the village was just too proud to come out of his house and line up for food and aid.

He said that it was him who always gave Anna Dhanam to people of his village and he would never want to be in a situation where he is not giving but has to receive...so he chose to remain without food for sometime and when finally he was too hungry he quietly stood in line for food.

So at times of adversity we can actually know a persons true behaviour ..that showed thart rich man in Acheh was helping the poor not becos of compassion but becos of pride that he was able to do so...otherwise why did he feel bad to line up for food when the Tsunami hit?

So same way..some are just too proud to "suffer".
