The shocking pictures and videos of devotees standing in waist-deep toxic foam in the Yamuna River are something that manages to make headlines every year. This year was also no different. On Monday, several clips of women taking a dip in the polluted river were doing the rounds on the internet. However, this year, the Delhi Jal board came up with a ‘solution’ to the toxic foam problem.
A video shared on Twitter by news agency ANI shows a worker sprinkling water on the Yamuna to keep the foam away from the shore. And that’s not all. The worker, identified as Ashok Kumar, was specially instructed to do so the whole day.
