Vegetarian is becoming common among non-brahmins.
There is no community since it is undergoing a transmutation. All communities change in a matter of decades. Around the world vegetarianism and veganism mostly for right reason is on the rise. Meanwhile so called educated Indians are trying to ape the west all for wrong things and reasons. There is a lot to learn from any society but embracing west for its excessive materialism is corruption
Let me recast the question. Is ignorance of what is the purpose of life on rise in India regardless of caste etc? Answer is yes
Yes, many have tasted in their younger days with peer pressure and continue to do so even now.
