Dear RR ji,

Today I had a thought...

You see mostly people think that God is on the side of good people.

But I am starting to feel that God is not on anyone's side.

God merely stands and its we who chose to be either on the 'right' side or the 'wrong' side. Frankly speaking both the "right' and 'wrong" sides are options that we choose cos if God only chooses to be one the side of good people that mean Bad can exist entirely divorced from God and the concept of God being all pervading and all inclusive becomes totally invalid.

So there is no real right or real wrong..its just choices we make and carve our destiny.

For example even in the Mahabharat..Duryodhana chose to stand at the head of the sleeping Lord Krishna and Arjuna chose to stand at the feet of Lord Krishna..so both of them chose their own destiny and Krishna did not choose to side with anyone and was a neutral charioteer.

I guess its not easy to digest that God is not on anyone's side and its up to us to decide which side we want to be.

Dear Renu,

It is said that God tests only the most ardent bhakthAs. We read many stories about how these bhakthAs are given trouble and

still they continue to have faith in Him. Sometimes I feel that if my devotion to God is too much, he might start testing me! :)

I am sure there is real wrong and real right. Otherwise, why does our ancestors and Gurus teach us the righteous path to go?

Ms Renuka, I liked your posting on God standing neutral watching good and back. However He is fully in control and can mediate when necessary either by providing good luck in one side and destruct things going out of control by Tsunami, Earth Quake or disasters. Also people still believe in Karma and future births.. ones action throw one into Heaven or Heavenlike or inferior or bring suffering in wrong case. Those thoughts hold things and manageable for Him.

Dear RR ji,

I feel God does not test anyone..all "testing" times are purely due to our own Karma.

I guess we humans were made to believe that God tests His ardent Bhaktas just to calm them down so that they do not lose faith in God when they hit bad times.

Most people think since they are "good" it would be unfair for them to face bad times and might lose faith in God or ask 'Why me? what did I do wrong?"

Most 'good' people might not be too comfortable that they could have some so called unfavorable Karma of their past birth taking its course so to make these "good' people feel less "hurt' someone could have come up with some story that God tests His ardent Bhaktas.

It's easier on the human mind going thru a bad phase and made to believe that God is testing us instead of tasting the bitter truth that any bad phase is purely our own Karma.

It finally seems that Religion is all about mind games.

So do not worry RR ji...God does not test anyone..we humans prepared the exam papers ourselves with our past Karma and we sit for the exam in this life and we mark the question paper ourselves and get to know there is no right or wrong answer and God just stood a witness!
