Agreed...but this still does not warrant rough handling by the police officer.
No right to rough handling anyone!
There will be repercussions of this incident in India!

I saw that video. There was no need for that stout officer to push that lean man down on his face!
The behavior is very rude. Can't he differentiate between a criminal and an ordinary elderly man,
who is unable to speak in English?
by theway some men cannot help staring if the person is a pretty girl.lolAgreed...but this still does not warrant rough handling by the police officer.
5. Hands up / kneel down, when a stout police officer questions you, to avoid man handling! :hail:

for that one cannot condemn them
pj sirSorry Krish Sir, can't agree with you.
It is indecent behavior for any one to stare at anyone, male or female.
I see you are not willing to take the quiz.lolSorry Krish Sir
Whatever is my age , young or old, staring at anyone, male or female is not decent.
Very true, Renu. That officer doesn't have the right to push that elderly man down. :nono:Agreed...but this still does not warrant rough handling by the police officer.
Dear Krishna,........... My take is if the Concerned Gentleman had his valid Photo ID , visiting Card of his son and had handed over the same the authorities then this incident could have been avoided . In the absence of an ID and Address proof and added to that his lack of knowledge of English to explain why he was at that place made them suspicious and behave bit roughly that ended up injuring him badly ...................
OMG!Reminds me of the visuals of the video of the hostages before they were decapitated by the ISIS thugs
Dear Sis,
Ram read out this news to me and so knew it. I immediately thought of Naina Sir!
And..... Thanks for your compliment for my 'free advice'! :yo:
Dear Prof N_M,Hats off to the people who managed to read the OP!
Sorry, there was a problem in the browser, so my post was losing
all the carriage returns. I reinstalled the browser and reposted the
same, so it should look ok now.............................................
We have visited USA eight times so far and never got into trouble
either with people or the law. ..
For most people, this is not a problem. But if you read the original
article, it says he is a farmer from a village in Gujarat, who knows
no English. The son should have advised him.

How come?
Whether you like it or not, it is a FACT that many Indians have the habit of Starring, peeping, habits.
Everybody sizes up others all the time. Some make it momentarily and others linger a little longer.
According to my younger family members lecherous looks, sometimes a long stare and sometimes making vulgar comment is common in India.
I agree with your
