Last week, Barack Obama talked about the rise of religious intolerance in India; something he felt would’ve horrified Mahatma Gandhi. While I am all for the eradication of intolerance, it was a bit rich coming from a President who had just returned from a funeral of a dictator whose family has ruled his Islamic nation with an iron fist (and who had imprisoned his own daughters for speaking up and where being atheist can get you killed). And if anyone thought things are much better in the US – the land of racial tolerance – they are wrong as incidents of police brutality and hate killings show us.

People are people everywhere in the world. There are biases everywhere just as there are corruption everywhere. When I say that there is differences in finger length on one hand, I mean that for people in general.
The degree of corruption varies between countries and with the country itself.
Similarly religious tolerance or race bias is not unique to India or USA.

Just because you get caught speeding, you can not say that you should be free as others who were speeding were not caught.
If Obama spoke about intolerance, does not mean that he does nor face racial slurs everyday.
If according to you, you can speak only if you are pure, then we all need to stop talking.

What hurt you more:
It was the truth.
Or he referenced Gandhi.
Did he say that there is no bias in USA or England?
Or the fact that he did not criticize Israel, or Saudi Arabia.
What would you expect him to say?

In India it appears to be one of the government agenda!
AND THIS makes a lot of difference.
People may not talk back/ argue/ fight but surely they will register
their right views, at the right time, in the right place, and quite lawfully.

I am visiting usa from 2000 and this 2015 too. We should not behave as if in india since americans respect private life manners more. If you go alone for walk in the morning i find many motorists wave to me in friendship and i return that too. Hearing " have a nice day" good morning " thank you many times here is to be accepted and adopted even when you return to india, let us understand good manners and privacy and enjoy life. If your son or daughter is not taking you out to walmart or kroger better spend time reading viewing tv. That will make life easier

Nothing unites stary people or parties and counties like a common enemy.
How and why did they all think that one party is the common enemty for all of them?
And the victory is not a close shave or hair breadth escape.

The insurance compnay coughs up the money (if at all)
after dilly dallying and delaying as much as possible.
The insured person gets gets 50% to 66% of the compensation money
while the lawyer pockets neatly 50% to 34% for making the
insurance company cough up the money! :juggle:
