1. The first is 'Sanu ik palu chain' by the legendary and the one and only Qawali singer, my favorite, Ustad Nasrat Fateh Ali Khan..in a live concert:

i think, i have already reviewed this movie, singham, with ajay devgn.

i would like to bring to the public's notice this song and video. simply awesome, and that does not even go near enough to express what i feel.

here is the force of righteousness, arising from purifying himself (yet again) from the temple pond. egged on by the masses and danced to by the proverbial celestial virgins, here is our man, six packs and shaved body and all, rising out of the debris, to cleanse out the dirt of the land of bharata. :)

the drum beat is awesome. not sure if sivamani played a part, but nevertheless goes in sync with the mood of the music and video. sukhwinder gets his best chance, since 'thaiyya thaiyya', and am glad for him for that.

as the song progresses, we see bollywood, moving on to colourful rajasthan, waving for our hero, to cleanse the country of corruption and filth - so rightfully displayed by prakash raj, in this movie.

a few years ago, before arnold schwarzenegger made/acted in a superb 'i wish this were real' movie, true lies, with jamie lee curtis. it was entertaining, while at the same time, saved the us of a, from terrorists. singham does the same thing to indian corruption.

had singham been real, there would have been no need for anna hazare!

I'm not sure but i think this is a remake of Surya's recent (last year perhaps) Tamil Singam. As much as I like Ajay Devgn, wish they had Surya in the Hindi remake as well. At least he would have got introduced to Bollywood, like Trisha did in her Khata Meeta.

ajay is GOOD! if you get a chance please see the movie. in certain roles, he excels ie a brooding violent roles like aakrosh, once upon a time and this one. :)

on the same note, they are making dabangg in tamil, osthi, should be surya instead of simbu. oh well !!
