I want to do a Pithru Pariharam/ Thila Homam/Shanthi in Rameshwaram to seek blessings of my ancestors and remove obstacles I am facing in life. After lot of research online and consulting, I have decided Rameshwaram is the place for it. But, at the same time there are many negative and extremely critical opinions on how this entire process has been commercialized and very hard to get genuine vadayars to perform the rituals adhering to our shastras and customs. I am happy to have found this thread and from the elders in this group. I am also equally confused on how to proceed, which ritual is right. Basically clueless.

I seek advice on the following:
#1. How to ascertain which is the best pariharam suited for me as a individual? Can you please recommend someone who can advice me or whom I can talk to understand? Currently residing in Coimbatore.
#2. Can someone from their personal experience doing any of these rituals in Rameshwaram recommend a vadayar whom I can talk to for further clarification and initiating the process?
#3. Kindly share any information on the various homams/ tharpanams/ shanthis for me to understand and help me decide what is right for my situation.

Any other guidance or advice from the elders of this group will be much appreciated.

we performed the Shrardham for our ancestors at Rameswaram in January'2024.
All arrangements were made by a young priest called Gurucharan Sastrigal.
His contact number is 7010600385 & 9889937898.
He arranged for the Sankalpa Snanam at Danushkodi and then the Snanam in all the Theerthams, and then we performed the Shrardham in his house, including Brahmananals and food.
He also arranges for tiffin for your family.

For stay I would prefer Sankara Matam near Agni Theertham.
