[h=2]Why Women Cry[/h] Why Women Cry...

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"

"Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said.

His Mom just hugged him and said,

"And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does

mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his

dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still

wondering why women cry.

Finally he put prayed to God who would surely know the answer.

When God responded he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman she had to be to be made special. I made

her shoulders

strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet

gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure

childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I

gave her

a hardness that allows

her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and

take care of her family

through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

gave her the sensitivity

to love her children under any and all

circumstances, even when her child

has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to

carry her husband through

his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect

his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his

wife, but sometimes tests

her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And lastly, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers and only hers

exclusively to use whenever she needs it.

She needs no reason, no explanation, its hers."

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman

is not in the clothes she

wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she

combs her hair.The

beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because

that is the doorway to

her heart - the place where love resides."

Back to my 'damager' maid! :)

The new tea filter was broken during the first week of use. Why to worry when a hole could be made by heating the

'appak kuchchi'? So....... hole duly made to hang it in a nail. Waste not want not, right?

Dear P J Sir,

I like my 'damager' maid because she is very honest!

Even if I leave my purse on the table by carelessness, she will not touch it!

She keeps my brain active... that is one added advantage! :)

Raji Madam

Very difficult to get honest Servant help nowadays. We have an old servant woman who helps us whenever we go to Chennai. She is a bit slow and always talks to herself, but very honest.
We give her all the items which can not be stored long like Ghee, Cereals etc also give her Sarees for Pongal, Deepavali and Bonus.

Camphor helps to keep off mosquitoes. A small container half filled with water, having two floating camphor pieces,

kept on the window sill, will keep away mosquitoes in that area. Camphor will last longer because of dampness.

Mosquitoes won't hide behind the furniture kept near that window and attack!

This container is made by cutting the bottom portion of a talcum powder container - plastic. :)

When I had good stock of sugar last year, I made jackfruit jam with sugar! The color was golden and so added some caramel

sugar to get the required color. The taste is very good but sugar crystals form and spoil the texture of the jam!! :pout:

Now I know why only jaggery is used to make this jam!

There is an easy way to sharpen the blades of the mixer grinder!

Just grind one ladle of rock salt into powder. The blades will be sharp again! :thumb:

Some of you might know this trick. One of my friends taught me some years back!

To avoid a thin layer of 'aadai' on coffee, there should be lather on the top. To make

the lather easily, just pour the coffee into the cup from a distance of about 6 inches!

P.S: This is MY coffee cup (200ml only)! :D

Raji Madam

looks like not a strong Coffee?

Raji Madam

Yes, i thought so.
I take a little bit strong coffee without sugar, my wife takes really strong coffee; Here we miss that Filter Coffee! Nescafe , whatever variety is there, it can not match our filter coffee.

Dear P J Sir,

Ram's father used to eat two malai pazhams in the morning along with a real strong coffee made

with 'kaRandha paal'. His lunch time was around noon, since he was doing daily abhishEkam and

pooja for saligramams. He never felt hungry since the coffee was so strong!

Once I tried it and could not sleep even during that night! :)

The pressure cooker vent needs cleaning everyday. If some food particle gets stuck, it ends in trouble!

A small wire just thick enough to enter the vent, with a loop at one end - to hang it easily from a nail -

is very useful for this purpose! Loop is made with the help of an insulation tape!

IMG_4526.JPG

One day I forgot to check the vent of the pressure cooker and experienced this:

பொங்கலோ பொங்கல்!!

சூடாகச் சாதம் வைக்கலாமென்று,
நேராகச் சமையல் அறை சென்று,

அரை ஆழாக்கு அரிசியை வைத்து,
சிறு கட்டுரை எழுத எத்தனித்தேன்!

திடீரென்று ஒரு பட்டாசின் சத்தம்;

பெரும் ஓசையுடன் தரை இறங்கியது;

:boom:

The very next morning I made the 'cleaning wire' promptly! :thumb:

Sometimes even if the sockets can hold two sizes of plugs, both will not hold

some plugs tightly. Fixing the plug diagonally will ensure proper fitting!

I wonder how I could have repaired many broken items, if m-seal was not invented!

The recent damage is the handle of my lucky scissors! I use it for tailoring. One of the

handles became 'shake chinnamoulA' and I could hardly cut any cloth material. Then

a band of m-seal fixed it in place and the lucky scissors is back in action! :thumb:

I make oat meal for breakfast at least four times in a week. Three cups water, one cup milk,

one cup oats kept in pressure cooker till one whistle gives a thick porridge. Last time I added

one spoon of sooji (ravai) and it turned out to be thicker and more yummy! Pieces of banana,

apple, some cashew nuts and dried grapes added, makes it a more healthy breakfast. :hungry:

Raji Madam

Can it be done in Micro oven ?
