Heartiest Welcome to you. In your name itself Shri Govindanum Parthasarathiyum Serthundalargal
You may be aware that the different names of Mahavishnu denote different or various forces which
pertains to a system of the Tree of Life. Each name has a defined spiritual force and control.
Besides above all, in the names there is the cause of all causes, which is an Endless one and that
has no name because it has no defined boundary. One to understand the relation between the Endless,
which is the cause of all causes and the names, let us look at a human being as a whole system.
Each part of the body can act independently on a different level and make an effect in the whole
system. The brain is the aspect of the endless. It has no limitation and can create anything in the
Universe and can change realities instantly. Suppose, when we name a part of the body, something
like legs, hands etc., we know its power and ability which is defined to function.

I do not think that we have any members from Palani as such. You may like
to submit your views of interest, if any, pertaining to that area, so that we
may be able to find out.

But I am hailing from Tanjore District settled down at Chennai at the moment. We

Hi to all,

I thank the hosts for accepting me as a member. I am Moodamadayan and I am in Chennai. I have been a Corporate behavioural/Soft Skills trainer for the last 10. It will be pleasure to interact with you all in this forum. I Wish you all and your family members a very happy Deepavali.

As to why I have chosen the name Moodanmadayan- I have been reading " Talks with Ramana Maharshi and I came across two interesting incidents- 1) Page 364: While answering the query of a devotee, Bhagvan answered" I am the the body" thought is ignorance; that the body is not apart from the Self is knowledge. That is the difference between knowledge and ignorance.

2) Page 370: Devotee: Does not Guru take a concrete form?

Bhagvan: What is meant by concrete? Because you identify your being with your body, you raise this question.Find out if you are the body. The Gita says:param bhavam ajanantah (Bh,Gita ix-11)- that those who cannot understand the transcendental nature (of SriKrishna) are fools deluded by ignorance.

After going through the above incidents, I strongly felt that this applies to me too. The confusion was if i should choose moodan or madayan and then I decided that since both apply to me, I shall have the name moodamadayan.
Regards,

Moodamadayan

Reg the closed thread “ A Personal Library of Hindu Sanskrit Texts and Translations”

My dear RK,
FIRST & MOST IMPORTANTLY WE SHOULD THANK Sri SIDEVO for the wonderful service he has done by posting this wonderful collection, in the thread “ A Personal Library of Hindu Sanskrit Texts and Translations

You have made a very correct obsevation in your post #103 in that thread.. The situation has to be remedied. That is possible if my obsevation in another thread quoted below is implemented. Saidevo & active members like him can help us.

I AM MAKING THIS SUGGESTION.Tamil Brahmins Portal can play a valuable role here.I see great men of knwledge, wisdom and maturity who are active members here. They should combine together. Take up the Vedas & Upanishads in a systemmatic order & post translations in simple readable Tamil as well as English. An outstanding model for this is late Sri Anna. Inspite of his great scholarship you can feel his hmmility & respect to other scholars. There should be no exhibition of puditry or superiority of sholarship. It should be for the pupose of inculcating Vedic knowledge in the minds of our children & their progeny. That & that only will make our mÉÑhrÉ pÉÔÍqÉ a global force.WITH THIS REQUEST I PROPOSE TO REST from THIS THREAD.Love.G.SubrahmanianSaturday, October 06, 2012

Welcome to the forum Mrs. Sujatha Vasan..

First please accept my heartfelt condolonces.. It is not easy to lose the love of your life and I hope and pray that god give you the strength to move on with your life your chosen way.. god bless you and your son..

We all are here to support and help you.. Best wishes..

Subhalakshmi :-)

Madam Sujatha Vasan

At the outset, I express my sorrow on seeing your message. Now your aim should be
to bring up your son with good education with the back ground you desire to grow him up.
Once he attains certain age, you can attach him with Shri Ramakrishna Mutt or any
place nearer to your house, so that he can learn the culture with which you are interested
that you desire him to acquire. You must be courageous enough to bring him up with
good teachings as a Mother. God will certainly bless you and him.
