Hi to all,
I thank the hosts for accepting me as a member. I am Moodamadayan and I am in Chennai. I have been a Corporate behavioural/Soft Skills trainer for the last 10. It will be pleasure to interact with you all in this forum. I Wish you all and your family members a very happy Deepavali.
As to why I have chosen the name Moodanmadayan- I have been reading " Talks with Ramana Maharshi and I came across two interesting incidents- 1) Page 364: While answering the query of a devotee, Bhagvan answered" I am the the body" thought is ignorance; that the body is not apart from the Self is knowledge. That is the difference between knowledge and ignorance.
2) Page 370: Devotee: Does not Guru take a concrete form?
Bhagvan: What is meant by concrete? Because you identify your being with your body, you raise this question.Find out if you are the body. The Gita saysaram bhavam ajanantah (Bh,Gita ix-11)- that those who cannot understand the transcendental nature (of SriKrishna) are fools deluded by ignorance.
After going through the above incidents, I strongly felt that this applies to me too. The confusion was if i should choose moodan or madayan and then I decided that since both apply to me, I shall have the name moodamadayan.
Regards,
Moodamadayan
Sir,
A warm welcome to you to this forum. I appreciate your humility but I regret I cannot address you using the name you have chosen to identify yourself with. I reckon it is interpreted as one who is lacking in knowledge/wisdom. I verified with my athimber who also is a disciple of Ramana and he confirmed that even Ramana would not agree to anyone calling himself as one whithout k/w. Everyone is possessed with knowledge and everyone is wise in one way or other. God has not created us as you have addressed yourself. Hence we dont have authority to demean ourselves or other human beings. It is evident you have plenty of potetial and you can contribute significantly to this forum.
I humbly request you to re-christen yourself. As a fellow human being, I love you.
May God Bless you.
Regards,
