about myself and my family

Hallo Friends!

I am C.S.Gopalan living in Bangalore. I was a scientist in BARC, Bombay and i took VRS from the centre in 1981 and since then the living in Bangalore. I also worked in BPL India, Bangalore for nearly 15 years and then for 9 years I was a Visiting Professor in St Joseph's College in Banglore. I am now leading a retd life in Bangalore. My wife is graduate and she was born and brought up in Bangalore. She is good painter and was a good Table Tennis player in her younger days. She hails from a well known aristocratic family of Iyengars in Bangalore.They are all sports loving.

I have a son who is gifted in every way. He is 31, 5' 7" in height. He did MS in a famous University in USA and also worked there for 3 years. I am Krishnakumar, working in UK for the past two years. Has a son and daughter studying here. I enjoy being a member of this forum and getting very valuable inputs. Came to UK only for my children's education, as all my family members were deprived of getting the desired education due to reservation inspite of excellent academics.

Hi I am Ashok Desai, basically a Gujarathi but since I was brought up in Chennai, I was most attached to Tamil Brahmin Community and I am much attached to Brahmin Community. I am proud to be a member of this forum. I am interested in Sloghams and Manthrams. I am very fluent in reading, writing and speaking tamil. WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL IF I CAN FIND SLOGAMS AND MANTHRAMS. If they are attached with its meanings that will be a very great service to present and future generations.

You can learn lot of things here from eminent writers like Dr.Renuka, Sri Vikrama, Sri Durga Dasan and others. Probably if you make specific requests, I am sure they will enlighten you and all of us.

Personally I would like to know more about Gujarathi Brahmin community. How it is organised. Like tamil brahmins, do they have subsects such as Smarthas, Vaishanavites, Saivites, Madhvas etc. Please enlighten us more

Introduction of Myself

My name is Bhasker Sai, a retired Army Officer. I am from Chennai now settled in USA as a US Citizen. I also holdan Overseas Citizenship of India. I spend a retired life. My wife too is a US Citizen and works in US as Special Education Teacher.
I have four sons. No daughters. One son is married and we are looking fro brides from the Iyer community. My sons are around 30 years old and are professionals. The married one is a Lawyer. Of the three unmarried one is a doctor and two are computer professionals.
We very fondly practice and stick to brahmin traditions and customs and we are Shiridi Sai Baba Devotees. We also are devoted to Puttaparti Sai Baba.
We fomdly hope to meet as many members of Tamil Brahmins and interact with them in furthering brahmin practices and customs.

I am a new member in this site and indeed happy that tamil brahmins all over the world can be united and share everything in life. Well, I am TG Ramaswamy, Aged 52 years from Mumbai (Kalyan). Originally I am from Tattamangalam (Pallakkad Dist) Kerala. I am married with 2 children. I am presently working in Nepal and my family are in Kalyan. I will be soon coming back to India as my tenure of contract is finished. I hope to hear from my friends and look forward to begin our friendship in the coming days.
