Ironic how the selfish thrive and a counter for it

No country is a role model for another.
Each country is unique and has their individual collective Karma.
The world was created to experience diversity so that we may get to know each other and learn from each other without erasing the importance of each country.

Since you are an Indian citizen you might want India to lead the world.
Its just attachment to one's own country.

Each country has its own way to attain harmony.
Frankly speaking the average person's life does not revolve around any world leading country...ask any person..life goes on as usual..no one really wants any single one country to rule.
For example the model of capitalism and materialism emerged from the U.S. Many other countries were influenced by it. You cannot prevent influence from happening. But in my view that model was a corrupt model and world went on a slide to a position to where it is now.

I want India to give the world a balanced model. Others will inevitably be influenced by it whatever you call it but in a positive way making the world a better and safer place

There are a lot of things in other countries that are more " balanced" than India at present.
And there are somethings which India excels in.

So each to its own.
There is no one super power.
The only super power is God.
Each country had and will have their glory...its cyclical and it will have both a rise and fall..thats existence itself.

Yes. It is cyclical but you may beat that if you sync with nature.

The adharma that is on earth though pervasive I believe is fortunately shallow. So there is a lot of hope. Part of the reason may be incipient knowledge of science and technology and the other is the adharma stems more from raw emotions and therefore from immaturity.

Sravna...the Yugas are cyclical.
There has been Kali yugas too in the past and there would also be Kali yugas in the future.

So Dharma waxes and wanes according to the Yuga.
There isnt much use worrying over all these.

The focus should be transcending change.

My theory is kali yuga is just beginning on earth and most likely well entrenched in the rest of the universe. The intensity is not only according to time but also in accordance with place. It is my theory again that earth is one of the most spiritual planets and kali yugas are largely dumbed down.

Of all the conspiracy theories that litter the Internet, the flat Earth conspiracy is quite possibly the most curious. After all, the ancient Greeks figured out the planet's shape (and even its circumference) in the third century B.C.

But a fringe society founded in the 1950s, dedicated to insisting that the Earth is flat, has given rise to a modern ground of flat Earth adherents. These believers claim that the Earth is a flat disc, and that evidence that it is round — say, pictures taken from space — are an elaborate hoax involving multiple governments. Opinions differ on exactly how the flat Earth works, with believers concocting elaborate versions of physics and creative interpretations of the solar system to make their theories work.

Lord Krishna ascended to His Divine abode at the end of dwapara yuga and immediately kali yuga started in 3102 BC.
According to Puranic sources, Krishna's death marked the end of Dvapara Yuga and the start of Kali Yuga, which is dated to 17/18 February 3102 BCE. Lasting for 432,000 years (1,200 divine years), Kali Yuga began 5,123 years ago and has 426,877 years left as of 2022 CE. Kali Yuga will end in the year 428,899 CE.

Hindu texts describe four yugas (world ages) in a Yuga Cycle, where, starting in order from the first age of Krita (Satya) Yuga, each yuga's length decreases by one-fourth (25%), giving proportions of 4:3:2:1. Each yuga is described as having a main period (a.k.a. yuga proper) preceded by its yuga-sandhyā (dawn) and followed by its yuga-sandhyāṃśa (dusk), where each twilight (dawn/dusk) lasts for one-tenth (10%) of its main period. Lengths are given in divine years (years of the gods), each lasting for 360 solar (human) years.

Kali Yuga, the fourth age in a cycle, lasts for 432,000 years (1,200 divine years), where its main period lasts for 360,000 years (1,000 divine years) and its two twilights each lasts for 36,000 years (100 divine years). The current cycle's Kali Yuga, the present age, has the following dates based on it starting in 3102 BCE:

Again, whole thing is a theory.

Mr. Sravna,
Just open the window and see how other Indians see India.

Yes I agree there is discrimination in India. But it is not systematic but more spontaneous. It is easier to address than when the government itself plans to ensure the perceived superiority of a race.

If India is as great as Mr. Sravna professes. Why are Indians leaving the Country?

Ask a regular ‘proud’ Indian, what they love the most about the country, and you will find a string of different answers coming your way. It is perhaps the most diverse nation in the world, with its vast range of ethnicities, cultures, languages etc. Surely, the countrymen are proud. However, one question seems to hit the back of the mind. If India is as brilliant as these people say, why is it that more and more citizens continue to move and settle abroad?

According to the United Nations Population Division, out of emigrants all around the world, India has the highest number of people. In other words, Indian-origin emigrants constitute the largest proportion in the world. According to the same study, at least 15 million Indians are currently living abroad, a number larger than the population of Singapore and Switzerland combined together. In contrast, the number of Indian emigrants stood at 6.5 million in 1990.

Clearly, India is a major “superpower” in migration mobility. However, that can only be said for emigration. The number of immigrants in the country have actually observed a decline from 7.5 million in 1990 to 5.2 million.

Every country has good thing and some not so good. Every citizen does not feel the same way.

People leave a country for many reasons.
Actually a country is great because its citizens make it great.
Otherwise its a mere piece of land.

I remember seeing a TV reality dating show where an Argentinian yoga instructor was dating this American guy and he wanted her to migrate to the US with him but she refused flat.
He was taken aback and told her that USA is the land of opportunity.
She replied that opportunity depends on a person's effort and she is well settled in Argentina and doesnt look up to USA.

Then she told him but she admits that Mc Donalds burgers taste better in USA.

She never went to USA.
She wanted him to settle down in Argentina.

Honestly each country has its pros and cons.
Being in a country is like being in a marriage..we need to make it work for us.
But personally I do not believe in any one country being greatest of all.
God surely didnt design an imbalance world.

So many people are leaving the country because these are the people who are attracted by materialism which some other countries better offer. But India is improving on this count too. It will soon retain such people.

If materialism attracts certain type of people then let them go wherever they want to go because materialistic people need to be in a country with strict anti corruption laws so that they would " behave".

If materialistic people are retained in a country when corruption is still prevalent, then its hell break loose.

Yes Renuka, true

India needs to focus on its unique strengths which is spirituality and develop a model for governance and various other systems based on that. It will definitely take a giant leap and help create a much better and peaceful world. All round improvements need to happen such as in economy, military and peace and prosperity.

Sathya Sai Baba did say that Bharatiya Culture will spread to the whole world in the future.

I guess first spirituality has to grow in India again...for that to happen corruption needs to go, only then economic well being would be able to eradicate poverty.

Its Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha.

Spirituality can only be acheived when Dharmic means of Artha and Kama are achieved first.

In fact its only the Upanishad which had the Moksha added to it.
Vedic text stopped at Kama.
Upanishads is where spirituality starts.
Only then after going through all stages of Dharma, Artha and Kama one realizes that he has to finally surrender all and lead a life of contentment without any regrets of success or failure.

If the cult of nationalism only includes one religion at the expense of Poor, minority, and transient, that is not true emancipation. Like Brahmins in TN, or People of NE India is Indian metro cities have no say. The employment situation even for educated is difficult.
So, this talk of spiritualism is red herring. It is basically being hollow because a large number of Indians do not have the economic freedom. So rich and privileged buy up the Media (Adani buying NDTV) and Ambani owning TV18. So that they can promote the official line of Ruling party.
Most of the Gurus too follow ruling party. So, in India you only hear one voice, there is no room for others. Corruption is high, but you ask any Indian in public they will scream up and down that there is no corruption in India (Under Modi).

Agreed but nothing last forever.
Every type of mindset is cyclical.
Each human has the full potential to align with Dharma.
Its a matter of time.

Well said Renuka. Every type of human being has the potential to align with dharma. Some chose the direct route while others are taken through a circuitous route. The destination is the same.

When you are against nature maya is in total control of you. So whether you sync with nature or are against nature, it is nature in different manifestations that is in control.

While its true that Indians who can leave India, do so but they don't stop being Indian. Sure, a new passport can call them x or y or z but ask them, in a perfect world, in their hearts if they would love to be with their people back home and most would say yes.

Its for the reasons of challenging circumstances, limited resources, stiff competition, nasty politics and sometimes violence, people leave but this has always been this case in all of human history. Any migrating population moves towards more opportunities, better access to basic needs.

There is no reason to hate India or any country for that matter. It's the circumstances that play the effects. I believe, people are inherently good but ignorance is what causes so many challenges.

We should not negate the fact that the world by far is lot safer than it has ever been in human history. Lesser wars, lesser people in poverty than ever before, more chances of living longer, better access to health care etc. Yes none of this is perfect anywhere in the world ( esp the high income nations ) But as we are evolving, I'm extremely grateful for being in such an opportune time of history of humanity.

We do have new challenges of this century such as climate change, overconsumption of resources etc but as we are evolving in this journey, I believe we will get there one day. We may not see the big picture with our limited life span, but history tells us that our ancestors made it, so will we.

I believe, an Average person with little bit of luck and lot of hard work and some help can make it. At least that's my take. You can always find proof in the way you look at things. I can only see good things happening more than bad things here and there.

Best,
Vignesh

Dear Vignesh,

I find you balanced and not blindly supporting something. I try to be unbiased too but people confuse bias with speaking the truth. For many if you don't say what they like you are conveniently blamed as biased. Just because I have a personal experience of atrocities that doesn't make me biased when I speak against them.

The most difficult thing to accomplish is to make truly biased person to be unbiased. Finally it is all Gods creation and design. He knows how to undo it.

My biggest lesson I would like to share would be to let go of the all the wounds.
Simply forgive and let go of all the atrocities / injustices of the past.
Forgiving is not for others but for one's own healing.

Let the mind ( ego aka Identity of separate self ) surrender and the heart, be fully open and invite the divine. Bring the divine within ( through non-judgemental rested awareness ) and let it heal those difficult emotions and painful memories.

All Internal problems are solved effortlessly, and you will be floating in the realms of boundless love. Integrate this on a daily basis ( through meditation ). Your mind will become so quiet like a sincere student on the first bench. You will feel every moment of your life so joyful ( as you truly realize there is no doer ) . Even if there is nothing good in the material world.

Eventually , all pains, traumas, emotions, triggers etc will simply vanish. Life becomes Increasingly joyful, pleasant and meaningful. Karma will become kind to you. Afterall, you are spiritual and you have tasted the infinite power of divine first hand.

Dear Vignesh,

Yes all gems of advice. It is how I see an ideal person think. Vignesh there are two aspects to reality: One is our own self and the other is the external reality. I believe the inner self was emphasized a lot by the great spiritual masters and for good reasons. Your inner self has to be fortified first. Now let us consider the other part which is the external reality. Our spiritual masters rightly though in an ideal way asked us to focus lot less on it as a fortified self would take care of the pressures of external reality. So I am on the same page with you till now.

Now let us introduce the nature of the current times which is kali yuga. Remember the yuga before it which is the dwapara yuga. The master of that yuga, Krishna understood the nature of the yuga and acted accordingly. He knew that kind acts and responses would be like talking to deaf ears and only language the adharmic of the times understood was their own language. They proactively try to harm you. So it is just not enough to defend which will only keep provoking them but also show some offence which can only deter them .

I do not equate myself with Lord Krishna but i understand dharma and adharma when i see it and feel compelled to respond when i see adharma. I act spontaneously which i feel is the gift and will of God and i do not want to forfeit it.

Ofcourse when you reach the pinnacle of spirituality, offence and defence become two sides of the same coin.
