Is life always unjust like this?

Except when the hubby takes a vrs and offers his wife vrs as a gentlemanly gesture.

My classmate after a decent working life in many countries retired and settled in S.chennai. His children are married and settled all over. His wife about 60, an old time maths/science graduate has taken off to USA to do a doctoral programme. He is at loose ends and can't make up his mind to stay put in chennai and lead an astika life (his goal) or to follow her.

Well, if the wife follows her ambition,

he should follow his own and not disturb her

in her tough doctoral program.

No one know how many years it might take!!!

My elder sister suggested that I do PhD instead of wasting time in the forum.

I do not see any advantage except that I will be running after people

trying to please them in order to get my PhD.

We must do what we like to do / what we enjoy doing

and what we feel we are good in doing...

as long as they are NOT banned/ blacklisted/ illegal/ immoral/illogical.

In any case I am too old and too inform to take up an active job.

This suit me best.

Settle down after finishing all the chores and indulge in

:typing:...........:blabla:...............:argue:..............:croc:

depending on my mood on that day.

Dear Sarang Sir,

You are giving new ideas!

vrs can be a good thing.

one can get out of a routine or grunge job, and take up another job and add some enthu to it. a new job is like a breath of fresh air. :)

and you can always quit, and join another job. or be a contractor. or do something you always wanted to do, now that with vrs, hopefully your finances are taken care.

But that does not happen always. :nono:

Those who work keep on working

and those who enjoy go on enjoying :couch2:

In fact there are only two known poses...

one on the feet like Venkatachalapathi and

the other like Mahaa Vishnu on his first-ever-dunlup-bed.

there you go again :)

should i guess who is the shrew? and who tamed her in this forum? hee hee

It is not who! :decision:

It is a what!! :decision:

Taming the tricky, treacherous and dangerous language English

and making it obey us to our satisfaction

is the taming of the shrew I meant. :first:

Dear Sarang Sir,

You are giving new ideas!

Various people tried to plant this idea at various times.

When taking up a job is NOT in the plan
what is use of this additional degree ???

Mrs. V.R. PhD (Housewife) !!!! :dizzy:

I will feel more happy when I handout my
website weebly.com card than by this diadem
serving no practical purpose! :drama:

Dear Sis,

Too much of teasing a person who does so many odd jobs! :)

Dear Raji,

But for the odd jobs some people

won't know night from day!!!...:hungry:.........:hungry:

I will always remember the dialogue I heard long back in Vikram and Betal story.

One person would be described by this sentence.

Woh jee bar ke khaayaa owr aaraam ki neendh soyaa!

He ate as much as he like and slept as much as he liked!

Supposed to be the best of the lives!!!

Life is not always Unjust and Unfair, as it is not always Just and Fair!!

Please recollect the stories of Harischandra and Nala in Indian mythology.

One of my christian friends pointed to the story of Job in Bible. Job says, "When we accept good from God, why not accept bad from God!! (exclamation, not question).

He also pointed to the story of Joseph in Genesis in Old Testament where it is written, 'Joseph was in prison and God was with him.'.

Catastrophies, Calamities, Cataclysms, Afflictions, Hardships, Tests, Trials, Time and Tide wait for none. Yet during the most difficult phases of our life, is God with us.

"When all hell breaks lose, God's grace is sufficient for us." - T.D. Jakes, Pastor of 'Potter's House Church', Dallas, Texas, USA, the 3rd largest church congregation in the USA.
