There are quite a few scholarly gentlemen who are members of this forum. Please help me with regard to my son's jathakam. His d.o.b. is 29.11.1990 at 1515 hrs in Srirangam. The problem is in respect of his Lagnam. Is it Meenam or Mesham? His horoscope written over 25 years ago and computer generated horoscope of a few days old, all have different views. A couple of them show his Lagnam as Meenam and another 3 show it as Mesham. I am now trying to get him married. Which Lagnam should I use? Can someone please help out? I shall be extremely grateful.

I will also be grateful for assistance in respect of information regarding a good 'Josier' who can accurately match horoscopes? That is, after I get some clarification regarding para 1 above.

It has to be Mesham only (Aries 3' 08") Sun rise at Srirangam on that day was at 06.16 AM There is a local time correction of 00.15. 11 to be applied to work out the exact planetary position. Your Josier who manually calculated the position earlier must have missed it out or may have taken a different value. If you still have access to that josier please ask him to calculate it again as per N C Lahiri's Ephemeris. If you are still at Srirangam, there are number good astrologers around there. a light inquiry would lead you to the right person

Use a computer generated horoscope based on B.V.Ramans casting.

It is accurate and will give you what you want.

the persons star is swathy.

use 10.87 N 78.68 E for place -srirangam.

get it recast accurately in any computer shop or generate online along with date of birth and time

You have to first determine the method which you are going to employ for casting the horoscope.

There are two methods-- Vakhya panchangam based and Thriganitha panchangam based.

These two methods have fine differences.

If you go for Thriganitha based casting you will have to necessarily get the girl's horoscope also in the same system if you are going to use them for horoscope matching for a possible marriage.

So please consult your astrologer. He will be able to throw light on the subject.
