hi folks,

lets talk about money..

what made society to accept paper money?

what will happen if farmers decide to switch to banter trade and ditch paper money?

coz during banter trade time they get real deal for their goods and wealthiest people are agricultirist but they found themselves losing with the advent of money trade , sooner or later they
will realize this dependence of money is getting them no where.

also money can be printed at will of govt at large quantities is making us feel insecure as values of any amount today we hold is going to get lesser and lesser in future.

will continue....

You mean barter trade. If it comes to effect very shortly most of the members of this forum will starve. If you do not like paper money, govt is thinking of printing plastic money. At this rate we are not far off from Mohd. Bin Tuklaq who minted money on hides.

Dear H. R. H. K!!!
YOU are not supposed to talk about money! :nono:
WHY?
Look at your user name! :)
OK agreed that barter system had its advantages.
The farmer will sell his produce.
The manufacturers will sell their produce!
What will the others sell??? :noidea:

HI VR,
Bhagvan is Sara vyapi , so talking about money is also talking about a part of him

Coming to the discussion , its too simplistic to say we will lose our livelihood if we don't print money, other more reliable system may evolve who knows?

i think printing money to simulate economy is like taking steroids to boost performance . not a healthy order.
if one analyze the cause of corruption , one can discern that easy
availability of this infinite resource to those who have access to the power
makes them corrupt .
moreover , by not paying the farmers there due , we are cheating on them.

when god created the world and passed us the manuscript on how to run the
worldly affairs , through sruti and smritis ,the concept of paper money is not mentioned
anywhere

will continue ...

oops shud be barter trade, its not about my likes and preference . i want a discussion about a powerful factor which affect everyone utmost to the core and yet has no value backing it.

Were they not minting gold and silver coins
before we started printing paper money???

Money has always existed in different forms...
as priceless gem stones, gold and silver.

The defect lies in printing paper money
much more than the materials we have to back it up.

True. Chemical companies work hard to make plastics look like leather (hide) and leather like plastic (in texture, look, feel and breathability). So plastic money is like tuklak's leather money.

At this rate we are not far off from Mohd. Bin Tuklaq who minted money on hides.

Gratitude: A feeling of thankfulness and appreciation
"he was overwhelmed with gratitude for their help"

In our school days, under parent's instructions, we presented a sambhavanai of fruits, grains and some cash to our class teacher every year and got aasheervad in return.

I always thought these two were given
freely and spontaneously with pleasure
and were never ever SOLD or exchanged for other things !!!

Hello HRHK, we are all paying farmers, the transporters, the MIDDLEMEN who find place to squeeze themselves at every hairbreadth space to hoard money for 3 descendant generations, of course the wholesaler and the retailers, the duties, taxes, incidental taxes, checkposts/octroi, toll charges and the agents, extortionists, and its a world wide web. The only benefit you have after feeding all these greedy mouths, the price tag which is instead of Rs.12 is only Rs.11.99 (conditions apply).

Power Packed Post! :clap2:

I know of one smart kid who would prostrate to all the elders in the house he visits.
Naturally they will become :becky: and :rain: gifts on him! :)

mmmm.... even before the advent of money teachers ,writers travellers existed. aren't they?

the grouse of farmer groups are the price they sell to GOVT is not even meeting the cost price.

b4 the advent of money also wholesaler ,retailers ,middlemen, transportation costs existed.

what i want say is we need multiple medium of transaction , if we rely on single medium like money ( can be of any matl like paper ,plastic or leather) then it will be prone to abuse.

multiple medium of transactions are the norms of the day before the advent of money. people lived much more honestly than now.
there is more cultural diversity existed coz of this.
people didn't migrate to cities in such a large number.
there were more festivities observed.
they have lot more freedom.
norms are created by there own groups and not by faceless corporates as it happen now.

i think a lot more positive sides to multiple transaction systems .
