The previous thread with last post got closed.

First , my apologies to Dr Renu and anyone if I may have confused & frustrated with my responses - there was no intention other than wanting to be precise in ideas (not in grammar or citations). I do take 100% responsibility for the effect though I hope in larger scheme of things this is all minor since I just another member posting and sharing.

My learning style is not due to faith in any authority including interpretation of our scriptures by even Sri Sankara - my respect for them is only due to understanding and realizing that there is truth and value in understanding for my growth.

In other words reasoning and questioning is my style and that is how I respond often to posts (that may cite a scriptural reference that I value)
I have come to understand that sometimes the understanding takes a lot of unlearning and there are not good answers available in this setting.

Dr Renu is serious and respectful to the scriptures but the responses to a few genuine attempts on my part to explain came across to me as not serious. I do not want to attribute any motive to that other than recognize that and provide that feedback just like I am told I have special knack to confuse people :-) In a respectful discussions there is no need to attribute negative motive to anyone here. We are just a group of 'chatting icons'

I am not here to claim any expertise. I will offer my thoughts when I can (if I have time) and will challenge citations if used incorrectly in my understanding to promote a thought.

Let the Mannagatti discussions do not stop on my accord - hence reopened this thread.

Dear TKS ji,

Thanks for starting this thread but too bad I have developed a new style of thinking today onwards.

It's based on the philosophy of being ignorant and liking it! Ignorance is Bliss!

Here is the 1st line:

One response that is valid here is "Mannagatti" LoL ,,, I wont keep persisting this thread - it will die a quick death

see how peaceful the ignorant mind is?

There is nothing even to debate..the mind is calm and not turbulent.

Ignorance is indeed bliss...I am blissfully happy being ignorant..thank you so much O" TKS ji for leading me to the path of blissful ignorance.

When I thought I knew I actually did not know,
When I thought I dont know that is when I really know,
There is nothing to know for no one really knows,
Those who know dont really know and those who dont know really know.

Ignorance is indeed bliss..a kiss from the all Mighty,
It makes you realize you are actually tiny,
Tiny yet a part of the Magnanimous,
Like a lump of earth(Mannangatti)..a small lump yet part of the Cosmos.

Nice :-)

Actually a piece of mannangatti was not only part of Cosmos but was cooked by collapsing stars billions of years ago

And knowledge and ignorance are both unreal anyway , so let us have fun - do not worry/be happy ...

O' how much I learn from being ignorant....in each Mannangatti lies an untold story of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
How I wonder what you are,
Up above the world so high,
Mannangati that was in the sky!

what is all about ...it is about cosmos or something related to unknown ????...my doubts instead of being cleared are removed from the site itself ...why?:washing:

Knowledge is ignorance turned inside out!

Renukaji,

Because of my ignorance perhaps I get a doubt. I express it here. Lest I am misunderstood, I say I have no intention to derail this thread and take it towards a corner to get it locked. My doubt is genuine.

If knowledge is ignorance turned inside out, does ignorance sit on you lightly? or does it sit heavily like the knowledge is doing?

When we happen to wear by mistake the brief etc inside out, it hurts invariably. Does ignorance when worn inside out hurt too?

Questions from an ignoramus.

I know one elderly gentle lady who wears her ladies banian inside out so that the seams on the sides will not hurt her tender skin! :peace:

seams do hurt senior citizen skin also and leave marks on the skin.so wearing inside out is a practical solution though amusing
