This song is penned by ரத்த சிவப்பழகி for the contemplated Movie குருதிப் புயல் ! Actual production to commence after SC s verdict on this issue involving Sabarimala. If the ban on women is lifted by SC - location of this song will be Sabarimal Temple and probably tuned accordingly to the traditional சரணம் ஐய்யப்பா tunes in chorus ! If SC dosenot give relief then this song's location will be the crowded Marina as suggseted by Vagami (Ref Post# 41 and 43) to establish their birth right - it has to b e the Kuthhu tune then!!

Well prepared with tunes for all occasions and all eventualities !!

If the young people of India spent as much time educating kids and doing social work, donating for education as they did getting attention on mainstream and social media over the views of old people that hardly hold any real relevance, how much of a difference that would have made to the next generation!

Today's youth no longer care about taking some pains to deliver the next generation a better life; they want it all for themselves. The reason is not erosion of values, but the city-based fast life that has decreased the mental acumen to think about the consequences of their actions.

"Happy to Bleed"? Yes, you may be, but I have other things to worry about. Life no longer revolves around temples and panchayats and priests - and my respect for my religion is not determined by my going to the temple or listening to what some elders in some isolated part of the nation have to say.

Is it so difficult to grasp this?

Sneezing men with leaking nose are more polluting Never considered impure for that and can move about freely - But Women mestruating - their movements are restricted even with Whisper It is not about the leak through the orifice women are are fighting againstt it is agaist the impurity & the selective quarantine thrust on them!

Actually, the reason a lot of religions place such restrictions on women is because, well, blood from injury dries fast and does not have a pungent smell. It can also be easily dressed up. Menstrual blood is a consistent flow, and could have odour (due to bacterial loads). In olden times no one knew all this, and of course no one wants to have random odours in a religious sacred place. Hence this ban.

Times have changed, sanitary pads are more often than not nicely perfumed too, the absorbance ensures any odours don't leak out, so we can do away with those things in the texts....

Remember that, technically speaking, you are supposed to have bathed well and worn fresh clothes on the day you visit the temple (unless you are an ascetic/monk/rishi). The reason is the same.

ரத்த்தின் ரத்தமே Thou shall not fear blood - Blood is a purifier of all sins Jesus Blood is like our Ganga jal Though his cnception was immaculate! There is nothing impure here except the mind set!

It is an excuse to say that because of fast life, young would want all time for themselves alone.

Those who have no time management or priorities talk this way.

Social media have screwed up the lives of youngsters who spend more time on it than with their wives.

Most of these types forget about their kids and older generation.

So be it.

But someday , these types would require their extended families . Those rainy days are not far away as chennai found out.

IT pros were searching for whispers for donation and using twitter and facebook to enable its distribution.

Also they discovered that belts were also required to be supplied to hold them in place very late.

What ignorance of female anatomy and dress habits ?

Are they worldly wise?

Isn't there an obvious contradiction in how we see women in temples — their entry into Sabarimala is restricted because of the period taboo but there are temples where goddesses are worshipped in their 'menstruation'?

All Shakti peethas represent female energy. At the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, the belief is that when the water in the shallow worshipped structure, shaped like a yoni, turns red the goddess is 'menstruating'. Perhaps it is a mineral that turns the water this colour. But I remember going there in the pre-mobile phone era and as word spread about the red, people gathered from everywhere and in a day everyone in town knew of it. And to touch that structure when the water is red is considered to be the most magnificent blessing ever. We worship the devi in so many forms and with such reverence but don't accord women at home or on streets any respect or dignity. You celebrate menstruation in a goddess because it is about the power of procreation but when it comes to women it becomes a dirty thing. Women are treated like secondclass citizens outside the temple precincts, there is a great disconnect between feminine divinity and the place women are given in society. I would like to see women allowed into the temple though I know that the ban is several centuries old and a part of the shrine's tradition.

We see women Goddesses menstruating or not as divine as they are of stone or metal

But women who are human beings are objects of admiration and lust of men . Obviously the thinking about them revolves around them as objects of desire of menfolk.

If they bleed as a normal body function, they become unacceptable to menfolk as men feel a sense of revulsion . Most men cannot accept pregnant women also in social

gatherings. It is the way men are made. The women become unacceptable under these circumstances.I do not know if it is fair to women.

R - Day Parade NW Women Brigade(No Whispers Happy to Bleed) to present a God of Honour to presiding deity
Lord Sani at Sani Singhapur - Helicopter display is part of the plan - Security doubled!

Copter booked

Ms. Desai said the brigade had booked a helicopter as part of its plan.

As per the plan, Ms. Desai is to alight from the helicopter to offer worship at the prohibited inner sanctum even as the local administration has doubled its security for fear of a melee that might cause damage to temple property.
“They may bar us on land but they cannot stop us from the skies,” she said, adding that even if her outfit’s activists were denied entry to the premises, they would offer flowers to their detractors to win them over.

I remember out here some years ago a huge statue of a divinity was supposed to be unveiled by a local politician using a helicopter..so helicopter was ready..was about to unveil the statue but right at that time strong winds suddenly started blowing and the cloth that was covering the statue fell of itself..the politician could not unveil the statue..the statue was unveiled by the wind!

Arriving by Helicopter is VIPs Joy ride and fun for spectators I remember this story of 20 Helicopters!

Starry arrival: Choppers descend on Mumbai stadium

Mumbai:
sachin_chopper.jpg

Since all roads led to the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Friday evening, Star Dust descended from the skies.

So just before the Indian Premier League Season 3 was about to open with the usual extravaganza and dazzle, no less than 20 helicopters landed at the stadium about a 90-minute drive from central Mumbai.

Sachin Tendulkar and family, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, BCCI president Shashank Manohar, IS Bindra, foreign delegates and many more alighted from the steel birds and made their way to the ceremony in style.

But no one arrived in more style than IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi. He walked out of a helicopter, into a BMW which then drove him to the VIP gate. Why not. It is his day. And the next 45 days as a heady mix of cricket, fun and glamour take over.

India will have to shed its paternalistic attitude and make space for new age liberated women.

Why not?

It is shani temple and sabarimala today.

The fight will shift to a new area which restricts women.

50% of population cannot be deprived of its legitimate rights provided in the constitution

They will vote to throw out anyone who tries that.

Yesterday, Times now news night presented a debate on haji ali controversy.

Two women took on the trustee and the moulvi of the shrine for barring entry of women into inner areas of the shrine.

These men ended up looking like bashed up BEST buses at the end of the debate.

Full marks Arnab Goswami for the treat

Puri shankarachayya has added his wisdom to the shani temple issue.

He feels that women should not insist on visiting shani temple as no one would like shani bhagwan to cast His eyes on them .

They should stay away from shani for their own good.lol

Todays entertainment and topic for discussion on TV

Is spirituality the exclusive domain of men? SC asks Kerala in Sabarimala temple entry case

It said the case would require in-depth research on legal, constitutional and even spiritual questions. It appointed senior advocate Raju Ramachandran as amicus curiae.

He was an amicus curae in deciding the appeal of the Ajmal Kasab in relation to his conviction in the 2008 Mumbai attacks case.[SUP][4][/SUP] He also acted as an amicus curae in the Gulbarg Society case related to the 2002 Gujarat riots.[SUP][5][/SUP] He had donated his fees in the Mumbai attack case to the legal service authority which was directed to be distributed among family members of the eighteen state policemen and other security personnel who sacrificed their lives in the 26/11 anti-terror operations. This was described as an act of "high professional ethics" and was appreciated by the Supreme Court of India.

These information are their in the web and you may be aware of them This information may be new - He is my elder brothers Son!

Stop discriminating against us because we menstruate: 'Happy to Bleed' campaigners move SC

"Just as caste-based discrimination is prohibited, we want the criminalisation of menstrual discrimination," a "Happy to Bleed" campaigner said.

While the Supreme Court is yet to give its decision on the issue of ban on the entry of menstruating women in Sabarimala, a group of students who are part of the "Happy to Bleed" campaign have filed an intervention application in the apex court asking why a natural and biological process like menstruation is being used to discriminate against women, all in the name of religion.

The students, who are being represented by senior lawyer Indira Jaising, in their application stated, "That the primary objective of this campaign is two pronged; one, demanding the State to fulfill its duty of ensuring that health requirements of women are met by means of provision of sanitary pads at subsidized rates and free of charge to economically weaker sectors and, two, fighting against menstrual discriminatory practices, specifically the practice of the Sabarimala temple, Kerala of denying entry to women and girls between 10-50 years into the temple which leads to stigma and shame based on gender, and violation of rights of women under Articles14 and 15 of the Constitution, not protected by Articles 25 or 26 of the Constitution."

A Special Bench hearing the Sabarimala issue will consider the intervention application.
