Winners and Quitters.

Lack of a person's Capacity,

Can be made up by Publicity! :director:

Do not simply shun Simplicity,

To your words it adds Velocity! :bump2:

Reaction may be pure Felicity,

Or at times sheer Ferocity! :rant:

One needs the power of Tenacity,:laser:

To off set the others' Audacity!

The only way to deal with Opacity,

Is the liberal use of our Ethnicity!

Life is not rid of Eccentricity,

The tool needed is Authenticity!

Let the life be sweet.

It has been exactly a year;

To me it isn't yet clear!

Why the enforced placement near,:flock:

Proves to be too difficult to bear?

Uncomfortable they all appear,:fear:

As if immersed in a deep fear;

Appearing to shed a secret tear;

As if poked gently from the rear;

With the blunt edge of a spear;

To walk the plank and risk life dear!

It is either close tight the ear,

Or change self to suit the gear!

Is it impossible to, love, smear :love:

And become an object to endear?

Hear! hear! everyone in here! :ear:

Let the life be sweet as a pear.

ஆணும் அல்ல! :nono:

பெண்ணும் அல்ல!:nono:

அலியும் அல்ல! :nono:

உருவம் அற்றது!

பெயர் இல்லாதது!

அது ஒரு ஒளிப் பிழம்பு!:flame:

நூறு கோடி சூரியர்களின்

ஒளியை வெல்ல வல்லது!

The House of Peers,throughout the war,
Did nothing in particular, :bored:
And did it very well. :rolleyes:

I can trace my ancestry back to a protoplasmal primordial atomic globule. Consequently my family pride is something inconceivable. :moony:

It revolts me, but I do it. :whoo:

Good riddance!

One must be able to recognize an issue;
Or he is sure to make a non-issue an issue!

No one can predict what things might ensue;
If with tenacity the person continues to pursue!

He might contemplate to, or face, a sue;
Making him need a boxful of soft tissue!

Thoughts serious about a re-pursue;
Are best forgotten along with the issue.

Homage to my father on his death anniversary.

Seventeen years have not caused any dilution!
Nor have they given us any permanent solution!

We used to follow his many a wise resolution;
Our life was just going around him in revolution.

He has contributed much to our evolution;
And guarded us from every possible pollution.

One day he had decided on his ablution;
And handed us down everything in devolution.

His complete and voluntary dissolution;
Still brings in on us a terrible convulsion.

Life is not just merely an illusion.
We will live up to his expectation.

[FONT=comic sans ms,sans-serif]Guns will make us powerful, butter will only make us fat.
Hermann Goering.

Ill fares the land, to hast'ning ills a prey,
Where wealth accumulates and men decay.

But a bold peasantry, their country's pride,
When once destroyed can never be supplied.

Quotes by Oliver Goldsmith.

............Your frind is....... I think differently. My friend is the one who knows all about me and never hesitates to critisise me. I love the persons who criticise me (luckily, I have a few); I never trust a person who does not criticise me at all (often times I noticed them digging a hole behind me). My life experiences taught me a thing or two.....
You are correct, Sir. But how many are able to take the criticism in the right sense?

I know a few persons who do not like me if I point out their mistakes, which I seldom do!
They always want :clap2:
:clap2:

Unwritten Rules.

What is offered voluntarily is THE cheapest; :hand:

The outcome of hard labor is THE crispest.

The unforeseen crisis in a life is the deepest, :fear:

To achieve an ambition, the climb is steepest.

Words spoken with love, are fruits the ripest,

Words of hatred, prove to be the sharpest.:whip:

To those who FEEL, life is a violent tempest.

To those who THINK, life is no more than a pest.:whistle:

TEST FOR GREATNESS.

There is always an acid test,

To find out what is greatest!

Just check out for the latest

Number of sudden protest.:argue:

Life is surely a contest,

Winner always is the fastest.

Performance is slightest,

When the heart is faintest.:bored:

Why the one who is brightest

Becomes an object to detest?

The one which rises highest

Is necessarily the lightest. :rapture:

The one who is the smartest

Learns to remain quietest. :tape:

One way to become the hottest

Is to control the time strictest.

Learn to become the fittest

Life will become sweetest.

And e'en when fashion's brightest arts decoy,
The heart distrusting asks, if this be joy.:hat:

The man of wealth and pride
Takes up the space that many poor supplied.:doh:

Ten thousand baneful arts combined
To pamper luxury, and thin mankind.:couch2:

Quotes by Oliver Goldsmith.

NEWTON'S APPLE.

When a big red apple raw,
Falling from a tree we saw;

We put out our eager paw,
With a very wide open jaw!

And feel like a real Shaw,
While at the apple we gnaw!

We might, for it, even claw;
We may not mind its flaw!

Our brains need to thaw,
To hit on Nature's jigsaw!

It takes a genius to draw,
The great gravitational law.

THE ETERNAL TRIANGLE.

It is the best known angle,
That fits well in a bangle.

It is as welcome as a spangle,
The only shape-giving-triangle!

Yet one is made to dangle,
Getting caught in a tangle;

Harder is the struggle,

The more is the entangle!

Leading to merciless strangle,
Landing one's life in a bungle;

Creating a hell of a jangle,
And ending up in a mangle!

It is the same good triangle!
But it now is a lovers' triangle!

QUEST FOR THE BEST.

The spiritual quest demands self examination.
There is no escape by giving self explanation.

The world we see is just a hallucination.
But it creates in us an intense infatuation.

The magnificent five-element combination,

Can stretch far, far beyond our imagination.

Lured by the many objects of fascination,
We often lose the sight of our destination.

God has given us these powers as a donation;
The powers known as those of discrimination.

The power we need for the total elimination;
Of the 'true' from the 'untrue' in an alienation.

What most of us lack in life is determination;
And thus fail to develop the needed inclination.

The external words is always in domination;
Pushing our sincere efforts into stagnation.

It is time to get rid of all our procrastination;
And come out of our easy and lazy resignation.

We need to give our powers a rejuvenation
;
And restore our faith in soul's reincarnation.

Total honesty is sure to lead to the culmination;
Of our self-knowledge's complete illumination.

It is simply fantastic truly great writing.. love the play of words.. I though I had shared my thoughts now I know I did not .. thanks for letting me know the thread again.. I loved reading this and everyone of your posts.. :-)

I love everything that's old; old friends, :hug:
old times. old manners, old books, old wine. :love:

And honor sinks where commerce long prevails.:sad:

As ten millions of circles can never make a square,
so the united voice of myriads cannot lend
the smallest foundation to a falsehood. :lie:

Oliver Goldsmith.

The pretty miss!

There was this pretty miss, :music:

Whom everybody liked to kiss; :kiss:

But she knew how to dismiss, :hand:

The adventurers with a hiss! :wacko:

"Was she made in scenic Swiss?"

"Was she the storehouse of bliss?"

But she knew how to dismiss,

All adventurers with a hiss!

Lovely fetters.

Sweet is the sound of the clatter,

And the non-stop shrill chatter; :blabla:

They love things to clatter, :drum:

Line the living room with litter;

The Greek and Latin they utter,

In speedy talking often stutter;

Their tiny feet are still flatter,

Creating as they run a patter; :roll:

You feel tied in love's fetter,

And never in life felt better!
:love:

In gallant trim the gilded vessel goes,
Youth on the prow, and pleasure at the helm.

Each in his narrow cell for ever laid,
The rude fore fathers of the hamlet sleep.

The short and simple annals of the poor.

Thomas Gray.

A strange story.

Here comes a strange story,
Fit enough to become history;

Its unusual and total victory,
Is possible in one's territory.

She thought it was transitory,
His moves were anticipatory;

She was just his secretary,
His mood always celebratory;

She tried her best to be inhibitory, :hand:
He on the other hand was predatory;

Her words were contradictory, :nono:
His words were explanatory;

She was just being obligatory,
He was at his best oratory; :blabla:

She felt as though in a purgatory,
He was as cool as in a dormitory. :cool:

Two foolish men.

Their avoidable complete division,
Damaged more than their envision;

One of them lived in privation,
The other has excessive provision;

If they had had some distant vision,
They would have averted subdivision.

Had their elders extended supervision,
Their decision would be under revision!

Fire and people do in this agree,:flame:
they both good servants,
both ill masters be.
Fulke Greville.

The lamps are going out all over Europe; :whoo:
We shall not see them lit again in our lifetime.
Edward Grey.

Fifty million Frenchmen can't be wrong.:nono:
Texas Guinan.

Fat and Fate.

Being fat is not one's fault,
If it is written in one's fate!

There is no need to fallout, :bolt:
Because I, a fact, point out.

It is the latest youth fad,
To appear ready to fade!

As long as the person is fit,
No need to worry a bit. :hungry:

It is either a happy flirt;
Or teeth set tight in a girt!

It is always the long hug;
Or a non-stop-nonsense-nag! :rant:

It makes me almost faint
My image people try to paint! :faint:

The Liberty Bell.

It is difficult to tell,
How long you will
Keep feeling well,
Fit as a silver bell. :high5:

What had been a bell,
Is now The Liberty Bell;
Cracked when it fell,
And on its way to dell.

Once from favor fell,
Life becomes a hell;
Things they try to sell,
And put you in a cell! :doh:

They cast bad spell,
Spread a foul smell;
Facing a bomb shell
Makes you feel swell! :ballchain:

One feels very unwell,
With this unkind yell;
When unable to dwell,
Better to bid a farewell!
:wave:
