Points to ponder!

Every day, every hour, every minute and every second pushes

every creation on earth towards its end.

The celebration or the non- celebration of one's birthdays has

nothing to do with this.

Celebrating the birthday is a cool reminder of one's age and the

maturity expected of him/her.

It will prevent one from acting rash and immature as if one was

half one's real age.

Don't believe in God?....Don't worship him.

Nobody forced you to do so.

When the mind is closed and double barred, even if God

appears in His original glory, he will be made fun of as

"A pagal veshak kaaran"- a person imitating God.

Such is the world of non-believers who readily brand others as

spiritual guru!

A guru is remover of darkness and doubts.

No guru - not even Dakshinaa moorthy Himself - can dispel this

dense darkness and the cluster of doubts!

May be that is why He never tries to do so!

Watchmaker and the world.

To fix a watch we must know how to do it. Or we need some fundamental knowledge about it. In other words, the person who fixes a watch is MORE intelligent than the watch. Otherwise he won't be able to fix it!

The man who created the watch needs even more knowledge about it. Otherwise he could not have made the watch.

More complex the watch ...more is the background knowledge needed to create it and to maintain it in working condition.

The creation is so wonderful and so varied. Everything starts growing from a seed and it knows how much to grow and when to stop growing.

Who puts all the information inside that tiny seed?

Smaller the device.... more complex will be its mechanism!

Just imagine how much on knowledge is needed to create each and everything we see, and maintain them in perfect order.

So there must be a MASTERMIND behind everything we see.

We ignorant and humble pagans call it as God and allot it so many forms, names and attributes. We admire, adore and worship the supreme knowledge which governs everything and maintains PERFECT order.

If you want to slight it, degrade it, deny its existence, defy it and call it a product of fancy and fantasy, it is your wish.

But this is NOT going to affect the supreme power in anyway.

God is the watchmaker of the world.
:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

If THE SUPREME POWER is formless, all pervading, all knowing and all powerful....then why so many names and forms; qualities and attributes???

Sugar is one but the sweets are many.

They differ in colour, texture, intensity of the sweetness, forms and names.

Yet they are all made from the one and only sugar.

In the same way people have their preferences in everything they use, they wear and they eat.

The religion gives them the choice to select the god the person wants to worship.

After all no one loves to live a CHOICE-LESS-EXISTENCE!

Do they???

I am answering this post because I am very pond of replying to any body
who has interest in Rudram and Chamagam; chanting them is my daily
routine. Today being Arudhra Darisanam, I thought, why should I
not answer this post and thank the person, who has posted it. I have
taken Deeksha in the Sringeri Mutt and I do daily Lord Shiva Puja. Om Namasivayah
Being Margazhi now, every day morning I chant in the Temple besides on Prathosham
Days, I will be given first seat in the Temple.

Similarly I do not fail to chant Sri Suktham and Durga Suktham on Tuesdays and
Fridays besides Shanti Durga Mantras.

Sir! Nobody stopped you from answering to my posts. But when you ask impossible questions like whether the milk will come through the nose of the cow when it laughs...I lose my patience. You are most welcome to read / reply/ comment / discuss / and ask geniune doubts if any. :welcome: back!

I do not have any ill feeling towards anyone. We know that many beautiful scenes
can be seen only through vantage point when we go to hill stations. Like that,
there is always something left to love your quotes and threads, which are really
amazing. I submit only a point to ponder:

"A wise devotee submitted a request to the Ulmighty keep the gold, silver, money
etc with you, but try to give me a Wisdom to always think about you, chant about
you and dwell in you".

Like the above prayer, let us work together in this forum as one family.

The ideal prayer:-

Oh God give me the strength

to change what can be changed, :ballchain:

to endure what cnnot be changed, and :whoo:

the wisdom to know the difference between these two.

Can be changed :decision: Can't be changed.

KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING is interrelated or intertwined.
knowledge is required to understand the day to day problems. Subconscious
is of course motivated by emotion. Fear is the next most amazing emotion of
all, because it instantly creates completely awareness. Feelings are the results
of the instances that passes through our day to day life. Who knows, of course,
what tomorrow may bring us. I feel, it is time for us to change our thinking
from humanly to spiritual to come out of the above.

To recognise the achievements of a person, to register it in a forum of this size and to appreciate the person - one needs a large heart, kindness and un-asooyaa (freedom from jealousy).

I salute Mr. Byrahmanyan whom I consider as the Beeshma Pitha maha of the forum. Each of His words is worth a million words from any other ordinary person.

I salute his greatness, his broad-mindedness and his child-like simplicity! :hail: :hail:

The usual quotations will be resumed from 12th January.

Two points to ponder on, for today.

1. How old is this forum?

2. The names of Siva are really interesting and thought provoking.

When we say the good and the bad, we cover the entire population.

When we say people with hair on the head and people without hair on the head, we cover the entire population.

Some of the names and adjectives used for Siva in Sree Rudram are worthy of being pondered about!

Will it be alright if I start posting those queer and unusual names in this thread?

Your Feedback will be much appreciated! :pray2:

God works in many ways..I was just wondering what to post in the Sai Lives thread today cos the quote for the day has not yet reached me by email(may be some delay) and just now when you mentioned Sri Rudram here..I got an idea to post the Sri Rudram Audio Tutorials in Sai Lives thread.

Thanks for mentioning Sri Rudram.
