WIDESPREAD ABUSE
An independent commission investigating abuse cases dating back to 1945 has found that the Netherlands ranks worst behind only Ireland in a scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church in Europe and the United States.
The abuse scandal has badly damaged the reputation of the Catholic Church. Pope Benedict has apologised for the scandals and last week issued tougher new guidelines for churches around the world to make fighting clerical sex abuse a top priority.
While many priests have been exposed as molesters, very few have defended sex with minors. The radio said Van B. had twice been arrested for exposing himself to children.

Our knees are ALREADY bending backwards..

In case they bend forwards, we will be looking to our front and walking in the reverse direction. In other words we will look at 'where we are going from' instead of 'where we are going to.'

Very much like a confused Desi- one already is!

The same thing with running and cycling too!

Chair will be same but your legs will fold up across your chest in addition to your hands. What a fine sight it would be!

Doing the troublesome yoga poses (which involve the legs to be thrown over the shoulders ) will become very easy!

I have observed several times that when a person is terminally ill and needs love and care, everyone in the family living in different cities, will be too busy to visit him or look after him.

But after his demise, the same people will find free time to camp in his house for any number of days from 13 days onwards!!! At a time when their presence MAY be completely superficial and unnecessary in a small crowded house.


Even if they had come and taken care of him for two days each, the person would have left the world much happier registering the number of people who really cared for him.

Such is human way of thinking!
 
My maternal aunt was bedridden with several complications for weeks and months in Bangalore.

She has only sons and she is very fond of daughters. So we four were her daughters on whom she showered her love and affection.

She would make us sing and make me dance when ever she came to our house. She would bring very useful gifts during her every visit. I wanted to visit her but my request was vetoed.

When she died in the coldest month of the year, I got the news around midnight. I was promptly ordered to go and bathe in the ice cold water at that hour. I refused.

I felt when they can refuse my genuine and reasonable request to visit her when she was ALIVE, I can refuse to bathe as demanded by the them at mid night, in ice cold water and in the Coimbatore climate.

I got scolded for both these things. I just brushed them off without feeling any guilt.

People KNOW all the rules and sampradaayams but follow ONLY those which suit them well.

Isn't this the strangest thing we see everyday?

I am an Ex-Defence Civilian served for the Organization with higher-ups only
nearly for four decades. When we are at leisure, we used to exchange some
typical issues. Once, he said that "whenever someone asks us whether we
can do a job, we should immediately tell them, Yes, certainly we can."
Meanwhile we must become busy to find out as how to do it. That will give
a positive look to others.

A parasite lands on an unsuspecting ant and sucks out its life energy for its own growth and betterment.

It kills the ant in that process. The ant can never shake off the parasite sticking to it - as if cemented.

People do the same thing too! Pick up a fertile land /place or a prosperous host. Settle down there like the old man of the sea.

They have nothing to lose but EVERYTHING to gain.
So why not cling on as much and as long as possible???
